So, I'm finally fed up with my weight....and my gut...and my flabbiness.  So, I joined a gym last week, and I had my first (free) training session this morning.
HOLY CRAP!  My butt has been kicked!  The trainer had me do circuits, and I won't lie, I'm not a fan.  But, it's something I need to do!  My cousin is getting married this summer, and since that side of the family is the "prettier" side, I want to look good!

I don't want to lose a ton...just 25-30 pounds.  Just enough to go down a few sizes and to look healthy!

Do any of you guys have weight loss goals?

Yes I have weight loss goals I would like to lose 50lbs. I have 2 kids after the kids and all the baby weight I was about 25lbs heavier, Which I wasn't ok with ,but I didn't look bad with the weight! But over the last yr and a half I've been gaining a ton of weight so I've been trying get it off for good this time!!

Yes! My cousin's getting married this summer and I totally know what you mean about the "pretty side" lol and now our wedding is set for May of next year and I'm actually  looking forward more to the bridesmaids trying on dresses than myself bc I feel like I'm too fat and I'll get discouraged if I try some on now. Sigh* I wish I could just get motivated enough to do something about it! Yay, for you DaniBeth!!

Absolutely!  Jan 1st me and the dude started eating healthy (we follow a couple of the biggest loser cookbooks and cook yourself thin stuff) and exercising.  He's down 35lbs and I'm down 19lbs.  In September of this past year I had to get a physical for work through my employer's doctor and he told me I'm 30 lbs overweight for my height (I'm 5'9 and was 192 at the time) so the plan was to lose 20 lbs in 18 months....well now that I'm almost there in less than that I think I'm gonna push for those extra 10.

 

Surprisingly, just changing our diet was a big enough push.  Once we added working out to the mix it was like the lbs were falling off (mainly for him...for me it was a little harder and now I'm stuck) but you can totally do it!  Small changes can get you there just as quickly as kicking your ass at the gym.

I joined the gym back before the holidays, but didn't get really start until January. I'm a little dissappointed I've only lost 3 lbs so far, so guessing I need to bump it up some more and get a little stricter with the diet. My goal now is 15 lbs.

yeah, i need to lose 20, and for awhile i was doing so well (lost 12.5 lbs) but then the girl scout cookies came :( and i gained 5 back! so my goal is to reach 130 (i was 152 jan 1st) by June, so im hoping i can do it. I have totally fallen off the workout wagon and am just being lazy!
