Would you get married in Hershey Park?

What about Knoebels Gove?

Dutch Wonderland?

Do our PA amusement parks have the same appeal as Disney?

hm.. thats interesting, I would have never thought about something like that. IDK maybe Hershey park, IDK about DW, just seems a little to "kiddy" to me, just me though. (no offense, just my opinion) As for Knoebels I actually have never been there so I couldn't say.. (I can hear the gasps of shock.. LOL) Actually though, (FYI if anyone is still looking for a venue) you can get married @ Landis Valley Museum... something to think about...

I have only been to hershey twice... once when we first moved here (hope that it would be like a great america) and second for a Tom Petty show :D Both times all I wanted was a twix bar... which is unbelievable hard to find non-hershey products to find in that town... grrr... but I had the chance to see Harrisburg. Growing up by Sacramento, I  like to see other state capitals... but I was still in a culture shock phase and wanted to know who I had to know to find a Nordstorms. hahaha

Knoebles... is really kinda cute.. a very vintage theme park... I'm sure some fun fun couple can make that fab! Or its a great location for EPics...

Dutch Wonderland... I have never been

Ummmm, I heart disneyland... not as much as Great Americas.... but what I have been to in PA do not compare to D-land or -world

But can't you have a chocolate bath at the Hershey hotel... I'm not a fan of chocolate so much... but FI is!!

Hershey park definitally is nothing compared to Disney. as much as they try. The spas and hotels are wonderful but the park eeeekkk.. I use to work there... I actually heard that HP doesn't allow weddings...

As for Dorney or Knoebels, I wouldn't really have my wedding there but maybe a after party reception would be neat .. dead center of HOTT HOTT Summer the pool park at Dorney would be awesome :-D

Jess- there was a wedding (2?) at ESP!! WOW!! thats' crazy!!! but cool at the same time I was there 2 yrs ago.. Not to be married tho lol..

I think cuz I worked at HP for 4 yrs (teenager).. I know too much of the behind the park going on. I just view it all differently now..

Same with retail especially grocery stores. sicne I worked at one the last 4 yrs.. 4 yrs is my lucky number althrough Grocery store I was almost 4 yrs. :-(

anyway it just changes perspective of the way things are, should be, and can be..

but yea that was really neat..

That would be so fun! I wish I would have thought of that!

landis valley museum was the first venue we booked. we had to cancel because it's more convenient for us and our guests (more than half of them will fly from abroad) to have the wedding in the city.

I think ESP is a super cool venue. Hershey Park or other amusement parks might not be for us.

landis valley museum to me reminds me of like a big park, with beautiful historic buildings and beautiful scenery. O actually has anyone thought about the rennisance fair? That would be cool, and they can rent out a building for you on the grounds.
