So I guess DH is not happy with all of the stuff I have been buying lately.  Instead of talking to me about it like a grown up, he left me a note that said "Ummm....are you saving money for Aruba?  OR are you wasting money on a bunch of $hit we don't need?"  Ugh, how rude... that was not a nice thing to come home to :/  He placed it on a package that arrived for me today!!  I guess it's time for a break for awhile *sigh*

ETA:  A break from shopping/decorating, not from him LOL!!

Oh hell no!!  He should have said something to you in person, not left a nastygram for you to find on a package!!  Sorry hun! :(

Ouch! I'm sorry, Mel :-(

Is there anything he has had his eye on lately? Maybe you could leave him a note saying: "Sorry, babe. You're right. That package was actually the __________ you have been wanting. Don't worry, I sent it right back!"

:-))))

Oh no!! :( Sorry Mel... def agree, that could have been said differently :(

LOL @ Debbie, that would be an awesome comeback!!

Awww :( I'm sorry he talked (wrote) to you like that. If he's concerned about money, there are much kinder ways to discuss it. I wonder if in his guy head he thinks he left a little joke about your spending and doesn't realize how it came across.

And I LOVE Debbie's response!

ha ha- you should totally do what Debbie suggested!! :)

The truth is, I do have packages coming for him since his b-day is in a few weeks!

I think you are right FCTF...he claims it was all I joke.  I kinda don't buy it though.  I think he woke up in a bad mood, wrote the note, then went to work & realized that he was being a jerk & then instead of apologizing he says "I hope you aren't mad about that, I was just joking" (in a voicemail mind you).  Anyway, I am sure we will be fine once we can talk (damn opposite schedules...we go days without seeing each other sometimes!)

He should have communicated it better.  To be optimistic though, once guys usually get it out they get over it.  So if he's backpedalling/clarifying a bit more now I'd take it as a good sign that he vented and has moved forward :)  Like you said before, if it wasn't for you he'd have all white walls and a futon!
