Sorry, I am one of the ones that had a bad experience with going off of BC. It would appear that I had pcos for most of my life and when I went on BC and then off of it about a year later (first time in my life on it), it broke the back of
my pcos and stopped my natural cycles completely for almost a year and a 1/2. The only reason I had any kind of cycles was because I induced my period once 3 months in with provera, and then again in June (a year after I went off of BC) with
prometrium which I started taking every 6 weeks if no AF showed up for me and no BFP's. I was found to have pcos a couple months over a year after I stopped BC, and it took me another 3 months after that to get my natural cycles back.
I don't think there is anything you CAN do at this point but to wait and see how your body will respond to being off BC. Most people probably don't have issues and very few will probably experience anything as crazy and frustrating as what
I've been through, but from what I've read, many WILL experience irregular cycles and sometimes have no cycle for months at a time while the body regulates itself back to normal functioning. If you were asking should you go on BC, my answer
would be a resounding NO based on my experiences. :)
Good luck!!!
