I went into Richard with 3 rings and a vision. I had inherited the rings from my mother when she died and wanted to have them made into a pendant I could wear on the day of my wedding. Richard worked with and drew up some designs. He made up a wax mold, which I wasn't entirely happy with so he went back to the drawing board and created a gorgeous circle pendant. It's exactly what I was hoping for! I had a similar idea priced at Jeff Walters and they quoted me over $600. I got a much better deal and more personal service from Richard.

The girls at Shear edge offer great person attention. When you book your wedding hair there they shut down the whole salon just for you and your girls. You can bring in food and drinks of your choice. They will make you coffee and tea and let you pick the music. They also do a hair trial for the bride about 2 weeks before to make sure you will be happy with your hair the day of!

My Mary Kay Consultant was incredible. She has done 2 parties at my house and I have gotten almost $100 worth of free stuff by hosting. Her name is Lisa Dobson I met her at the welcome Wagon Bridal show in Orillia. She will be doing my make up the day of the wedding as well as all the bridesmaids and the mother of the groom. She has already met with us to figure what colours will work best for us all on the big day!

The girl at Moore's in Barrie did a great job! She helped us pick out the guys vests, suspenders, shoes, and suits. She measured up my fiance on the spot the day we booked with her. I went back with my Dad a few weeks later and was greeted with the same exceptional service. The great thing about Moore's is that you can have your wedding party measured at any Moore's and have all the suits picked up at the same location and dropped off at any location. They make it very easy even if everyone is in a different city.

Our officiant is a friend of the family and we are looking forward to his service. He also insists we participate in premarital counselling. We will be setting up some sessions with him shortly. I think it's an important step in the marriage process and helps both the bride and groom make sure they know what they are getting into.

The Highwayman Inn offers a full service venue where you can have your ceremony and reception if you choose. We are using the gazebo outside for the ceremony and then having a buffet dinner at the reception followed by a dance. The pricing is reasonable at about $30 per person. They also gave us a free honeymoon suite the night of the wedding and reserved a block of rooms for our guests. The service was great. The wedding coordinator is a little bit tricky to connect with as she only works M-F 9-5.

I booked an hour and a half pole dancing lesson for my bachelorette party. They can accomodate up to 20 girls in the studio for the session and you have the option of either one hour or an hour and a half. I haven't gone yet but I'll update my review when I do. So far the facilty was clean and inviting when I put down my $60 deposit.

I used events to rent my chairs. Their delivery cost was less than tiffany party rentals and they we much friendlier. They didn't require a deposit and had a much better price on the chairs I needed for the outdoor portion of my wedding. Unfortunaely they do not carry the chair covers large enough for the chairs in my banquet hall.

I found that the staff at Tiffany were not all that helpful. It was difficult to get a quote from them over the phone so I ended up just going in. After futher inquires I feel that I didn't get the best deal and wish I had gone somewhere else that actually does the decorating for you. I only rented chair covers and napkins from them and the delivery would have been $75 so we opted to pick them up ourselves which is quite inconvienient because our wedding is not in Barrie.

The girls at Hilltop were amazing! They were very helpful while I tried on multiple dresses. They made suggestions about what fit would work best for my body and helped me decide on an incredible alfred angelo gown. They also offer in house alterations which makes it a lot more convienient. And they sell bridesmaid dresses and flower girl and mother of the Bride/Groom outfits. They have a huge showroom with lots of different brands and options.
