Due to a severe peanut allergy, I was faced with the challenge of finding a wedding cake that wouldn’t contain any traces of nut products. (We couldn’t order from a regular bakery since commercial bakeries use products with nuts.) I found Jae on Craigslist and she made us a beautiful 3-tier cake for a very reasonable price. Although the cake wasn’t quite as picture-perfect as some fancy bakery creations (she wasn’t able to put separators between the tiers), it had a beautiful homemade quality to it and was DELICIOUS! Jae came out to my house with some cake, frosting, and filling samples for us to taste, at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend her cakes to other brides, particularly if you have allergies or budget constraints!

I purchased my wedding gown, flower girl gown, and some of my attendants’ gowns at David’s Bridal. Overall it was a good experience (except for the alterations). I was pleased with their inventory and the good variety of dresses available. The customer service is so-so, but the incredible prices were totally worth it. I got the dress of my dreams for $350! Their delivery time is quicker than any other stores I looked at, which would be a definite plus for a short engagement. They also give you a coupon book which came in very handy for discounts on their accessories, invitations, and tuxedos from After Hours.

I was very disappointed with the alterations department at David’s Bridal. They could not figure out how to alter my sister’s dress, and ended up having to order her a whole new dress (which barely arrived in time for the wedding!)

The service is excellent (especially the alterations) and the people are very nice. However their inventory is small and there are only a few dresses available to try on. The prices were a bit higher than I would have liked. Also the delivery time isn’t fast, so be sure to place your order well ahead of your event date!

I was very pleased with the alterations at I Do I Do Bridal. The quality of work was excellent, the turnaround time was acceptable, and the price was very reasonable. The people are also very nice to work with.
