Instead of buying all of our flowers from a florist. We ordered all of them from Costco in bulk. We saved so much money this way. We ordered red & white roses. They were more beautiful than I expected. They were fresh and none of them were wilted or had any bad leaves.
They delivered them all to my friends house. She put all of our flowers together for us. It saved us so much money and this way we were able to be creative with the flowers. I actually think that the flowers turned out better this way than going with a florist.
This is a great idea for the do it yourself brides or the brides that have a friend or family member that is good with flowers.

We had a party bus from my bachlorette party. I live about 45 min. away from the cities and he arrived a little early to my house. We loaded up the bus and were on our way. We went downtown and the driver immediatly gave us some suggestions on if we go to this bar he can get us in for free/ vip, etc... He was very accomidating in going wherever we wanted to go. When we wanted to leave a place we would call him and he would come and pick us up. He was really nice and let us listen to whatever we wanted too. At the end of the night he brought us back to my house. It was great to have someone so accomidating and go wherever we wanted.
It was a great idea and I would highly recommend them to everyone I know. Also, the bus we had had a stripper pole in back, a bathroom, and cool neon lights.
We only had 12 people total but it could have fit up to 30 no problem.

Instead of having boring favors we decided to have caricatures. We thought this would be a very creative idea that hasn't been done before. It was a huge hit. There was a long line all night long. Everyone loved it. Kristen was wonderful to work with and did a fabulous job. She had to options. You could pay I think $150/ hr for color or $85/ hr for black & white. We decided to go with black & white and hired her for 3 hours. I ended up slipping her a little bit of money at the end of the night to finish up. She was very prompt and on time. My husband & I wanted to be the first ones to get it done and she was waiting for us. It took us about 15 minutes to get up to her. She didn't start the clock for us until she started drawing when she could have started from the time she got there.
My only regret is I should have hired her all night instead of just a few hours.

I had a good experience with the men's warehouse. They had a nice selection of tuxes for the guys. When we initally went in to get fitted and pick out who should wear what the lady was very informative. She had great recommendations.
When it came to pick up the tuxes everything from what I heard was great. One person had to pick up their suit at another store but that was his own fault. Another person's jacket was either too big or too small. They fixed it right away. Everything seemed to fit wonderfully and we got what we expected to.
The only downfalls are: I felt like the suits were a little overpriced. Also, the suits had to be returned the following day. I felt like that was a little soon but it didn't seem to be a problem for anybody.
I would recommend them.

For our rehersal dinner we had dinner & comedy club afterwards.
We arrived a half an hour early. They had us downstairs in the bar and it kind of felt like they didn't know what to do with us yet. We hung out in the bar downstairs and finally made our way into the dinner area. We sat there for awhile and then they brought out our salads. The salad was very good. Then for dinner we had the choice of either walleye, steak, or chicken. People preordered but some people changed their minds last minute. There was a slight mix up of the food but it ended up working out. The food was great and I was very happy with it. Someone's prime rib wasn't cooked enough but besides that it was still delicious. My biggest dissapointed was I didn't feel like the service was as good as it could have been. I didn't really feel like we had a server but more so many people just bringing our food in. It felt a little disorganized.
After dinner we waited for the comedy club to start. There were 4 acts and nobody really knew how long it would last. It lasted an hour and 45 minutes. The first 2 acts I was dissapointed with and was starting to think this was a bad idea. One of the guys even seemed to be very drunk. The third act was really funny. He was my favorite. I can't remember his name though but he was fun. Then the last guy made my fiance & I go up in the front and he told a bunch of jokes to us. It was a lot of fun for us and I liked the interaction.
After the comedy club was over we had to chase somebody down to pay the bill. The owner/manager of the comedy club came over and seemed pretty drunk. He congratulated us but when it came time to pay he didn't know how to help us. He had to find somebody and we had to wait awhile for somebody to work up the total. It was fine but by this time of night we were pretty tired.
I think people enjoyed the dinner & comedy club. We had fun. It was a lowkey atmosphere and I liked that.
We hired the Urban Myth Band for our wedding reception and they were fantastic. They had great communication with us to accomidate all of our requests. They were so much fun onstage and we had countless people come up to us and tell us how great they were. Many people said they were the best band they have ever seen at a wedding and this came from some tough critics. They are upbeat and fun and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Most importantly is that our first dance wasn't on their song list. I asked them if they would be willing to learn a song and they said they would. The song sounded wondeful and I was very impressed that they learned the song just for us.
I can't say enough how wonderful they were. I would recommend them to everybody I know.

They did a wondeful job at the ceremony. They were prompt and very friendly. We hired the trio including a cello, violinist, and flutist. They meshed very well and everything was right on point.
After I booked them I was dissapointed to find out that our ceremony site did not allow the traditional wedding music. Instead I was able to go to their website and find some suitable replacements.
Their website was very easy in helping me pick songs for the ceremony. They have options laid out based on bridal party songs, bride songs, unity candle, recessional. It was lovely to have live music.

Connie is with Expressive Studios, www.expressivestudios.net. She was such a joy to work with on our wedding day. She was with us all day and even when I had some ideas she went with them when some photographers may be offended by that. She has an eye for taking good photos and I just loved working with her.
Connie took our engagement photos before and gave us a great deal on it because we booked our wedding pics with her. She had great ideas and it made me look forward to working with her at the wedding.
The day of the wedding.
Connie showed up at our hotel room at noon. We were running a little late and she welcomed us in the lobby. She was very sweet and didn't mind waiting for us. She came up to our room and started snapping pics right away of us getting ready. Once ready we headed over to Como Park for the wedding pictures. We found parking at Como Park very difficult and moved the pictures to another site nearby. It turned out to be beautiful here. My fiance & I took a walk with the photographer and ended up in somebodys yard. They had a beautiful fence and we started taking pictures in front of their house. We didn't think they would mind too much.
After that we went to the ceremony site to wait. After the ceremony we took additional photos. She stood back and let me take charge in who I wanted in what pictures. It was nice to not have to compete with a photographer for what shots we wanted and didn't.
After we went to the reception and once again she was right there. She stayed almost the whole night. She finally went home around 10pm.
Connie was such a delight to work with. One more thing I really liked about her was she allows me to have the ownership to all my photos. Most photographers make you order pictures through them but I don't have to with her. I can order them wherever I would like.

We had our reception site here. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you walk in it's very beauiful. It's a ballroom and the whole floor is a dance floor. It's sorrounded by mirros and white sheeting hangs from the ceilings and on the walls. It also has a balcony that overlooks the whole dance floor.
I originally met Eilleen at a wedding expo. She was very nice and this place sounded like exactly what we were looking for and it was and more. We met with Eileen and fell in love with the place. Inically she sat down with us for a few hours and we went over possible floor plans and she helped me in deciding the perfect one for our event. The fact that we were able to have outside catering and a band is what sealed the deal for us. Many places you choose for a reception make you pay $25ish per person for an ok meal and I didn't want to do that. With Cinema Ballroom I was able to hire my own caterer at the price I wanted to pay. Also, In our meeting with Eileen I told her all the things that I would like to have. She created an estimate for me based on what we wanted.
Approximately a month before the wedding we met with Eileen again. I told her all my ideas and she went with them. She never thought any of them were crazy and did her all to accomidate them.
We also took dance lessons here with Lindsay. She was wonderful in helping us choreograph a dance to our first dance. We definetly are not dancing experts but it was nice to surprise our guests with something a little more than just standing in the same spot for a few minutes. We had 4 sessions with her and started about a month before the wedding.
The day of the wedding. When we first walked in it was beautiful and everything was as I had hoped it to be. I was surprised that there were no dissaters with all the details I had asked of them.
My only complaint which is hardly a complaint at all is I asked for them to have the room ready at a certain time. I didn't want the room to be half done when all the guests started showing up. They were not ready when they were suppose to be but instead were ready shortly after. It wasn't an issue but they had a waiting room for the guests and it got very crowded before they were ready for everyone to come in.
Cinema Ballroom took care of all our rentals. We had seat covers, tablecloths, plates, silverware, a stage, chairs, you name it. We had many rentals with them and it was great to have them take care of setting it all up and breaking it down. I also had a few things that I wanted to bring in(centerpieces, pictures, coffee maker, etc...) and they had no problem with that. They allowed me to drop off all the things the day before.
I give them a big 5 stars. They accomidated us wondefully and I will suggest them to everyone I know.

We had a great experience working with them. We had the ceremony outside and the Chapel of the Incarnation reserved inside in case of rain. Sara & Arianna were our wedding coordinators and they did a wonderful job. Sara was prompt to answer all my questions prior to the wedding. During the ceremony you could tell that both ladies knew what they were doing and gave great direction. Usually at rehersals there is a lot of confusion on what should be happening but not with them. They did a wonderful job with being right on point. The day of the wedding they went way above and beyond, Including finding matching pins to help my bouquet beading from falling apart and stuffing paper in the unity candle holders to make the candles stay up straight. They came and got the group and let us know when to go to the service. The thing that also impressed me was they had a speaker on my husband & the officiant. This way all of our guests could hear even if they were in the far back row.
My only complaint is that I wasn't able to have the traditinal wedding songs played during the ceremony. We hired a trio to play and had to come up with other songs. It wasn't a big deal but slightly dissapointing.
