We loved nearly everything about The Reef. Their staff was friendly, helpful, accommodating and thorough with paperwork, and the food, wait staff and bar service were excellent. The accommodations are clean and well maintained and the linens, flatware, barware, etc are all in excellent shape.

The food at our wedding was outstanding (not that my groom and I had a chance to eat much but what we did eat we loved and it got rave reviews from our guests). We missed the cocktail hour entirely while we took photos, but everyone loved the appetizers along with the beautiful setting and view on the Sunset Deck. Food, drinks, service and city skyline view at the dinner reception was equally as impressive. We had the buffet and numerous guests made comments to us about how good the food was and how impressed they were with the variety of selections.

Our only complaints were a) the small bridal holding room meant to hide the bride just prior to the start of the ceremony had no air conditioning so it was incredibly hot and stuffy in there - although I've been told they have plans to install air conditioning by next year; and 2) despite the fact that a security guard was on hand just as a standard precaution, someone (not a guest, and doubtful that it was a staff member) walked in the lobby and stole our digital photo frame (with engagement photo slide show) off of the guest book table. I've heard that some petty thieves target weddings and even dress up to blend in, but it was still a bummer because it was an engagement gift.

Those two things notwithstanding, several guests told us it was the "best", "classiest", "nicest" etc wedding they had ever been to and were amazed at how reasonable our budget was.

Lovely, amazing, beautiful flowers - exactly how I envisioned them.

We had a limited budget for flowers and centerpieces and the quotes we got for what we wanted were well over $1,500 and up. Cristina beat those quotes by several hundred dollars and delivered flowers that knocked us and our guests out. We received numerous compliments about them. She works out of her home and only does weddings and special events, so you don't have to pay extra $ to cover the overhead that you would with a regular "bricks and mortar" flower store. She buys her flowers directly from the flower mart and advised as to what was in season and would hold up well on a hot day (we got married in early September). Her sample book had several dozen styles and color schemes to choose from but we ended up choosing our own style of bright, bold, tropical colors which she arranged beautifully. She and her staff also moved the ceremony flowers to the reception without missing a beat. Best of all we took the arch flowers and my bouquet home and spritzed them with water every day and they lasted an additional week!

I went to see Janeen at Sonata Skin Care 10 days before my wedding for a facial and brow shaping/tinting. She spent a lot of time examining my skin, asking me about my skin care history, products used, reactions, desired results, lifestyle, etc before determining what sort of facial would to do and what products to use. The results were more than I could have asked for. My skin felt and looked amazing for weeks and my brows looked perfect - beautifully and naturally shaped with a subtle curve/arch. The private bungalow where she works her magic is so tranqil and relaxing too. Exactly what a stressed out bride needs!

It's been over a month and my skin still looks great. It's a splurge, but worth every penny and I would definitely go back to her again.

Would not recommend. Extremely disappointed. Despite an agreed upon timeline, he was missing in action (breaking down ceremony equipment elsewhere at the venue) when he was needed to introduce the bridal party for the reception. We had to send people out to find him lost 25 minutes of valuable reception time waiting in the lobby of the banquet hall. When he eventually returned he introduced the bridal party with the wrong titles. At the reception he was disorganized and unprepared, didn’t stick to the very specific play-list and simple instructions that we provided him with several weeks in advance, introduced the parent dances at the wrong time, and announced the last song of the evening without letting us know in advance which required my husband and I to scramble to find each other. The icing on the cake however (pardon the pun), was when he kicked off the reception (setting the disasterous tone for the evening) by introducing us for the very first time as “Mr. and Mrs. My Maiden Name”. It was just awful. It was a lovely wedding, but he kind of ruined it for us. Other guests even commented about how bad he was.

He had references and presented himself as extremely competent and professional in our meetings, but at our wedding his services were absolutely unacceptable. Perhaps it just “wasn’t one of his best weddings” as he claimed in a marginally apologetic e-mail aftewards. We responded by asking for at least a partial refund and haven't heard from him since.
