The Rev Joseph Perry is really excellent, and he is highly recommended in our family. He perform the wedding ceremony service for my sister-in-law a few years ago when they were getting married at a restaurant, we wanted Joseph Perry to do our wedding ceremony, too. He is well-spoken, with a strong voice, but he also made each ceremony personal and specific to the couple. We met him several times before the actually ceremony to practice what we would say. He had great marriage advice for us, and he was sincerely invested into the success of our wedding. He was really great at bridging the gap between having an actual ‘church’ wedding and an informal wedding, letting everyone hear just enough of what they believed in. He’s a wonderful person, very thoughtful.

I’m not giving the store 4 stars, which I think would generally indicate good/expected service just because I think the atmosphere is a bit strange at Sophie’s Bridal. I’m not sure if it was just the day we were there, but the staff members seemed to be arguing amongst each other. My fiancé and I were also made to wait even though we had an appointment, and we were never told why we had to wait. The suit selection was fine, and the suit that we picked up for the wedding looked great, but I’m not sure if I would go there again.

We bought the engagement ring and the wedding bands at the same time from Hofmeister. Initially we only wanted to look at rings, but we found exactly what we wanted and in the price range we were planning on spending. We choose to visit Hofmeister first because several of our friends who had recently gotten engaged looked at rings there, and they really recommended we check out their selection. They have a great selection, but they also have excellent full-time staff members that took care of all our questions and concerns. My husband and I both felt like we could trust the team at Hofmeister to give us an honest answer. The other thing we liked was how we felt when we stepped inside the store. It’s fancy, but unpretentious, and you feel like there’s a history of good jewelers working there.

This is a great hotel for guests that are coming from out-of-town. We often have family members come to Indianapolis for the holidays, or for a graduation, and our house is fairly small so we can’t really accommodate guests. The Holiday Inn Express is great because they have suites, which means that people can bring their own groceries. The hotel is also really central, and near lots of public transportation, if the person wants to get around town. I think this is a popular hotel for families to stay at, and the staff is incredible. When I booked a block of rooms the woman over the phone was great about making sure she got all the details. They’re cheerful, and exactly the sort of personality that you can’t help but like.

My sister used to work as a florist, and so she knows which stores offer the best deals on flowers. She suggested Andrews because they are known for having the freshest flowers and the best delivery service. I would have to say that flowers for weddings are very expensive, and I was a little shocked at how much a bouquet cost, along with how much we were spending on centerpieces. We got a great deal, it was still surprising at how much flowers costs in relation to the ceremony site rental or the wedding cake. The team at Andrews did a great job, and I was happy that everything was fresh and looked perfect. I did fall in love with my bouquet, and it was actually really fun to walk around with a big bouquet.
1-800-Wal-Mart
At Wal-Mart we were able to buy big boxes of chocolate kisses and those sugar covered almonds (I can’t remember what the proper name for the almonds is anymore). We used wedding favor supplies from the wedding section in Wal-mart, and made over 200 little gift bundles. It was really simple to make, and not that expensive. I think the guests liked being able to walk out with a little token in their hands. From previous experience at weddings, I know that I’m also hungry at the end of a wedding and like having a piece of chocolate. I made these with my mother and best friend, and I think it was the perfect price and the perfect wedding favor idea.

This is a really beautiful place, and it was the perfect place for us to hold our wedding ceremony. My husband and I met at Purdue, and we would often go for walks in the park. It’s a huge park, and there are so many special places for wedding ceremonies. We choose the Promenade Amphitheatre because of how stoic it looks. When we filled out the recommendation, we were told that there would only be enough space at the Promenade Amphitheatre for about 100 guests, so we trimmed down our guest list to include just family and close friends. I loved how intimate it was, and our pictures turned out perfect.

Jill did a great job on our cake! It was beautiful, almost too pretty to chop up and eat! We had asked her to copy one of the designs of another cake in her portfolio, which was made up of tiny icing flowers. The taste of the cake was also incredible. I know many people say that they can’t taste the difference between a Wal-mart cake and a cake made from fresh ingredients, but I saw people who never eat cake take three slices. It was rich, fresh, and full of taste. We got chocolate and vanilla, which was perfect, because it was sweet but not too sweet. I would happily order another cake from Jill.

This was where my bridesmaids bought their dresses from, and this was also where I bought my shoes. I love this store, and I think they have incredible accessories. My two bridesmaids found their dresses here, which were expensive but beautiful. I think the dresses fit well, the material was beautiful, and they were also unlike any other bridesmaids dresses out on the market. This is the place to go if you want something unique and elegant, and something that you won’t find anywhere else. I wouldn’t say that the dresses are expensive, but they did cost more than $300.

I had found other dresses at other bridal stores that I liked better, but I couldn’t beat the price of the dress I found on sale at David’s. I wasn’t over impressed with the service, I found the staff to be young and inexperienced, and I also found that the staff members tended to talk more amongst themselves than with the brides and the other women dress shopping. The dress I found, though, must have been from the previous season, because it was marked down almost 75%. I looked beautiful, and I was very happy with the dress. Another great thing about David’s is that they have a good selection of dresses in my size, size 12, which made it easier to try on dresses.
I would give David’s Bridal alteration team 5 stars just because they had all the alterations done on time, and everything fit correctly.
