I ordered my custom hair flower off of Mikiye. She was fabulous to work with, and really worked with me to ensure I got what I wanted on a budget that I was comfortable with. Mikiye’s hair flowers are very beautiful and can be quite pricey. When I told her what I was looking for, I also gave her the budget in which I was wishing to work with. She told me what she could do, and how she was able to make it work for me. Again, Mikiye is a popular seller on Etsy so it took about a month for my flower to be finished. But, it was worth the wait. When my flower arrived, it was absolutely beautiful. All the beading in the center of the flower matched the rest of the beading in my accessories. Mikiye has a great attention to detail and always fulfills the needs and wants of her customers. I highly recommend her!
I ordered my custom garter off of Peterene Design on Etsy. She is an amazing seller to deal with and her work is amazing. I was in contact with Peterene for about a month prior to completing the transaction. She was very thorough in all of the details for my custom garter and she was very cooperative and attentive. It made for a delightful experience. As a top seller for wedding/prom garters, she was dealing with an abundance of orders, so it took about a month to complete. She sent me pictures of the garter after completing it and was able to change some things around with it even after it was finished. When my garter arrived, I was absolutely stunned! It was beautiful, and everything I could have asked for. She was professional in all of her communications and in her packaging. I recommend her to ANYONE!

We are using Rachel from Scrumptious Designs. We had researched many good reviews from couples that have used her as their baker in their own weddings, and every single one of them said marvelous things about her. During our consultation, Rachel was very professional – she had several portfolios of her work, a pile of thank-you cards from clients she’s worked with, along with the size of the cake pans we were interested in; and she even made a small 6” cake in the flavor of our choice for our cake tasting. It was absolutely delicious! We were on a limited budget and she did her best to work within it. I deducted her half a point because in her portfolio, a few of her fondant cakes had creases in them, and it didn’t look very appealing. We are going with a simple buttercream cake, similar to the one we had at our tasting, so I am 100% confident in her skills and her ability to create what we want, in a budget that she’s been more than flexible to work with!
David Stobbe is an amazing photographer. Upon meeting with him, he was able to show us multiple portfolios; some of miscellaneous favorites, others from a wedding from start to finish. All of which were great. David has the ability to take pictures in a way that looks natural and creative at the same time. These were things that we were looking for when we first sought out our photographer. David works in a mid-range price point, and has great packages to offer the couple including a high resolution CD with printing rights, and even a complimentary photo album. David is a very charismatic guy and will be a delight to work with.
People’s has been great with our jewelry. The sales staff have been very helpful and assisted my fiancé to find my ring based on the size of my fingers (selected a ring with a lower setting so it wouldn’t look too big on my tiny hands!). They had an exceptional deal on by engagement ring that was really incomparable to any other jeweler. They offer an excellent warrantee, too. All you have to do is bring your ring in two times a year to get inspected and it has lifetime coverage! It protects it against scratching, if diamonds fall out, prongs get loose, etc. It is a truly wonderful feature that they have and I think that such a valuable purchase should have a warrantee like that! We also purchased my wedding band there and they were very helpful in making suggestions to match my engagement ring. They had a great deal on, too, when we picked out my wedding band. A week later, they had an even better deal, so we went back and they price-adjusted it, no problem! Truly great service, price and quality.

Review: I cannot say enough good things about using Vista Print. I customized our design and uploaded our image right to Vista Print’s website, where we placed our order for our magnets. They had an exceptional deal going on, and we got 50 magnets for under $25! It was a fabulous deal. When you sign up for Vista Print’s e-mails, they send you their promotions about once a week (kind of a pain, but worth it for the discounts). They arrived within a two week time frame, and they looked great. The color and the detail that was presented on these magnets were really great. I could not have asked for a better company to deal with.

The staff at Jenny’s Bridal was exceptional. I had a few experiences there while shopping for my own dress (though due to store selection, I did not find my own wedding dress there). However, for the bridesmaid dresses, they have a whole upstairs floor dedicated to their bridesmaid selection. They carried many lines such as Alfred Angelo, Venus, Dessy, Alfred Sung and more. My girls had a large assortment of dresses to try on and all of the samples came in so many different colors. We lucked out when we chose their bridesmaid dress as the sample was in the color we were going to be ordering it in! It was really nice to see exactly what they’d be getting, rather than envisioning the dress in a different color. The staff was always around to offer their opinion and their advice. They made the whole experience very easy. The girls’ dresses are ordered and we are currently waiting to receive them. I have ordered dresses there in the past (for previous weddings I was a part of), and every time, the dresses have came in wonderfully!

I’ve gone into Debra Dee’s multiple times to look for both my own wedding dress as well as my bridesmaid dresses. Every single time I have went in there; the staff has been rude and has acted like they are inconvenienced every time a customer walks in the door. When I tried on dresses, the sales lady did help me to put them in a fitting room, yet she was nowhere to be seen once I wanted to try them on. I started trying them on myself and she was very rude to me once I did. When I tried on a dress, she made a negative comment about the way the dress looked on me based on my body type. I was not impressed. I do not recommend going to Debra Dee’s at all. The service is beyond terrible and I will never go back there again

Despite the fact I did not select my dress from Something Blue, I think it deserves recognition and review. Something Blue is a newly opened boutique in Saskatoon that brings something to the bridal store scene that no one else in Saskatoon has. Something Blue has a very modern, glamorous and simplistic décor with large bridal change rooms and mirrors, and a wonderful selection of couture wedding gowns (Blue by Enzoani, Winnie Couture, Watters and Watters, Kirstie Kelly, Impression, Dessy, Da Vinci, and more), as well as a great selection of bridesmaid dresses. I have gone into Something Blue two times and both times I have had amazing service. The ladies that work there are more than helpful. They offer opinions on the dresses your select, and will even bring you others based on what you are looking for. I truly cannot say enough good things about them! I found my ‘runner-up’ gown here; but sadly, it was just not quite the one! I really recommend Something Blue if you want dedicated staff, a beautiful, boutique atmosphere, and amazing selection of dresses!
Bliss Bridal is a very nice, high-end, modern bridal boutique that sells couture gowns in both affordable price ranges; and quite high-end price ranges. The girls at Bliss Bridal were quite helpful upon my first visit to the store. I had went with my mom and dad, and the sales lady introduced me to the store, and gave me little clips to pin on the dresses I liked (she would then pull them from the rack and put them into the dressing room). All the dresses were in clear plastic bags so they remained protected as customers browsed through them. I had been assigned one sales consultant (the assistant manager) whom had helped me for a bit; and then got transferred to another sales consultant – I’m not too sure as to why. This sales consultant was a lot more helpful. When I found my dress, she ordered it for me. I wouldn’t go as far to say that either sales consultants went out of their way to make my experience with Bliss Bridal extraordinary. When my dress had arrived four months later, I went to pick it up; and again, I dealt with a different consultant. She hung it in the fitting room, but did not help me into it, or even come by once I had it on. I was definitely put off by their service at this point. However, all in all, the dress came in fabulous, and they let me know that the Maggie Sottero dress that I had ordered came in the option of two different types of taffeta (one being slightly less expensive), and I was able to order my dream dress in a price range that was suitable for me. I rated them a 4 because I loved the boutique – it was very modern and classic at the same time; and for their dress selection at various price points. The service wasn’t fabulous so I deducted them one point.
