My wedding party went to The Ultimate Spa and Salon for our hair services. We had excellent service and they did a beautiful job on my hair and all my girls' hair. My sister is actually the coordinator for weddings at the salon. There were actually 5 weddings the morning we were there- but surprisingly everything was very organized and on time! They definitely specialize in doing weddings and occasions, so the professionalism was noted. They did a beautiful job for each specific person- My mom looked so beautiful, she also had her makeup done there. I had a bridesmaid with short hair- and they managed to do a very cute do, with very little hair! I had decided on doing my hair up, but was nervous because sometimes my hair is not agreeable when styled this way. My stylist knew exactly how to work with my hair and I’ve never loved an updo on myself so much!

This bakery is a hidden gem out of McFarland, WI. My friends still tell me that they crave my wedding cake! Chris runs the operation out of her home, and she takes care of her clients like they are family! Included in the price of our wedding cake, was a freshly baked "one year anniversary topper" that she made for us! How cute is that!?! Chris made us a 5-tier wedding cake, there were only about 150 people at our wedding and only 6 pieces remained at the end of the night! Our guests were going up for seconds, because it was so delicious! Since our wedding colors were fuchsia and turquoise (two very loud colors) Chris had the brilliant idea of marbleizing them, so they weren't too harsh. I loved the idea, and the cake looked beautiful! Her prices were SO reasonable- we really lucked out in finding Chris's Confections! Delicious, great service, excellent craftsmanship, nice price, and the freshly baked one year anniversary cake topper is definitely the "icing on the cake!"

Our destination wedding was held at the Gran Bahia Principe in Riviera Maya, Mexico. My entire wedding party stayed at the resort, and we thought that we would have gotten more of a "package deal" for bringing so many people along. All of the options that were given for the destination wedding package were pretty cookie cutter. We were given a couple of selections for flowers and two restaurant reception options. Everything was fine- but we definitely couldn't be picky. We had our hair done at the hotel salon. One of my bridesmaid's hair fell out completely after it was styled, and she was in tears. Despite the mediocre amenities, the day was beautiful and the beach was gorgeous! We rented a little disco-tech area for dancing at the reception. The resort was not quite what I expected, adequate however.

I was referred to Lynne at Wonderful Wedding Bridal Shop by my sister-in-law, who purchased her bridal gown there. I had already purchased my gown elsewhere, but ended up going through Lynne for my bridesmaid's gowns. Lynne is able to sell designer gowns at a great discount. We had gone shopping for bridesmaid's gowns in downtown Chicago and selected a gorgeous, $250 gown. Since we were having a destination wedding, I was particularly concerned with the price of the gown. I emailed Lynne the details of the gown I wanted, and she was able to sell it to my bridesmaid's for $150 per dress. Lynne kept me informed throughout the entire process, and kept me in the loop when she felt one of my bridesmaid's wanted to order a size too small. I had a wonderful experience, in every aspect of our purchase, with Wonderful Wedding Bridal Shop.

I purchased my wedding invitations online through Invitation Consultants, Inc. Initially, I was hesitant to do this online, but the process was simple, accurate, and quick! The Invitation Consultants customer service assisted me with the wording and emailed me a proof for accuracy. They ended up catching a mistake that I had made!! I had a great turn around time on my invitation order, and the company was easy to correspond with. The product was perfect and I would most definitely use them again for future invitation prints and recommend to others!

For our reception, we rented chair covers and sashes from Bucky's Rentals. They had a great selection of styles and colors. They were able to match the sash colors to the exact color of my bridesmaid's gowns (a very hard color to find)! Renting the chair covers made our reception hall look so festive and more complete. For a small fee, the rental company set up all the chair covers. At the end of the night, everyone pitched in and took off the covers and tossed it all in a box. My mom returned them the next day. It was an easy process.

Our very fantastic DJ was from Jukebox Bandstand out of Madison, WI. Our guests were dancing all night long! Our dance floor was packed after the first ½ hour of the reception until the end of the night. He was very accommodating with our song selection, which we were so grateful for. My brother requested a song I didn’t want played- and our DJ sought me out to ask how he wanted the situation handled. I thought this was so considerate! He was so respectful of our wishes and really made an effort to provide the best service. I actually ended up giving in to my brother's request, but the DJ was a true professional and kept the evening classy!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the University of Wisconsin's Memorial Union. We rented out the Great Hall for our occasion. We had SUCH a perfect experience with this venue, and feel as if we lucked out, pricewise. The service was prompt, and planning an event at this venue was easy. They provided us with rental options for the little extra things we may have needed. The staff was helpful in working with our other vendors when it came to set-up, break-down, planning, parking, etc. The food was actually very excellent. I have been to so many weddings where the food was crap! This was SO delicious and VERY reasonably priced. Our reception appeared to be much more expensive than it actually was. It's so nice, but so rare, to get the most for your money!

I purchased my bridal gown from Priscilla of Boston. I loved their gowns, but was less impressed with the service. It was a very upscale boutique, and I expected a very personal experience. I thought it would be a very special shopping experience, as this is not only an important, but expensive purchase in a woman's life. At Priscilla of Boston, I felt as if I was just one in a million. I also felt that the sales staff was most concerned with selling a gown, as opposed to assisting a bride to find her perfect gown. I found a different tailor, so I didn't have to return.

We had our wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and a reception back at home in Madison, WI. For our reception, Buffo Floral and Gifts created our floral arrangements. Our florist at Buffo was Tricia, she was so very helpful. Our "paradise" themed wedding played off of turquoise and fuchsia hues. This was easy to pull of in Mexico, because of the beach landscape, but in Wisconsin this was a bit more tricky. Buffo Flowers did a beautiful job, however, in using the bright colors we chose for our destination wedding into the decor of our reception site. Tricia was so amazing at taking the color specifications I gave her and selecting flowers to blend and accent our Madison reception space.
