We are using Bob for our photography. He is great. Very down to earth, no BS kind of guy. We didn't feel like he was trying to "sell" himself when we met with him. I really wanted to choose someone who we felt instantly comfortable with because we are going to spend a lot of time with him on our wedding day. His work is great. Mostly a photojournalistic style, which was important to us. I have every confidence that he will capture all the little moments that make the day special. His prices are very reasonable and include an engagement session. All in all, he has been great and i would recommend him to anyone!

Lyndsey has been great to work with and comes highly recommended. She has some great, really creative ideas. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and get a feel for the reception decor I was looking for. Her prices are beyond reasonable -- easily 20% cheaper than any Boston florist I talked to. She works out of her home, so her overhead costs are minimial and she passes those savings onto the client.
We are using Dennis McCarthy from Boston Djs for our wedding. Dan and Dennis have been incredibly responsive from the very first contact. Dennis was warm and personable on the phone and took time to answer all of my questions and get to know our personality a bit. He had just done a wedding at our venue and gave me some great tips. I have heard nothing but good things about Boston DJs and I look forward to working with Dennis on our wedding.

We booked the Pavilion at the Hyatt Harborside for our June wedding. So far, the staff and the overall experience at the Hyatt has been great. They answered all of my questions, responded to my emails quickly, and are more than willing to work with you to customize the reception to your taste/style. The views from the Pavilion or the Skyline Ballroom are to die for! You look out over the Harbor and have the entire city as the backdrop. Better views than the State Room or the Boston Harbor Hotel -- and at a reasonable cost. The room blocks are reasonable as well. We ate at the restaurant recently and the food was fantastic. I can't wait for our tasting in a few months.
I would recommend the Hyatt without reservation!

Madeline's Daughter gets an A for dress selection, but a D- for customer service. I gave my consultant a very specific price range, explaining to her that I would go no higher than a certain amount. My price range was more than reasonable. She brought me in lovely dresses, all very much in tune with what I had explained to her. We narrowed it down to 2 dresses. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the dresses I loved were both $1K more than I told her I wanted to spend. What most upsets me about this is that I told her part of the reason I came to MD was because the last shop I went to, they never asked me a price range and showed me dresses that were double what I had intended to spend. The truth is, if I really wanted the dress at MD I could come up with the money to buy it -- but there are so many other brides out there who are working with such tight budgets that for them coming up with an extra $1000 would be impossible. How dare they take advantage of a bride like that! I would not return to that store if they paid me to wear the dress! A warning to other brides: demand to see the price of the dress before you try it on and fall in love with it. Good luck with the wedding planning!
