We ordered our flowers from Costco.com and were incredibly delighted with thier service and the quality of the bouquets! All throughout the process of ordering, planning, and shipping Costco was very attentive to all of our possible needs. We choose the red rose 20 peice wedding package which came with bouquets, boutonniers, corsages, centerpieces, and extra roses all arranged with lovely pearl floral pins and tied with white and red ribbon. And for a fraction of the cost of a florist!!

We had the roses shipped to my parents house and from the moment the roses left the warehouse Costco was in contact with my mom letting her know where in the shipping process the flowers were. They were still fresh and beautiful when they arrived at her home two days later. The website includes a video detailing how to take the flowers out of the box, as well as how to store and care for them before the wedding. The boxes themselves also come with instructions AND they call you the day the flowers arrive just to insure you have everything you need and answer any questions. Over the top amazing service!

DJ Andy was really on top of it - all of it. The music, the lights, the people, the "flow" of the evening, and he even helped out with wedding coordination. He made sure our officiant had a unobtrusive lapel mic and was ready and willing to help with anything he could offer us to make the entire evening smooth and easy. He double checked with us about timelines before and during the eveing, always making sure we were aware and insync with the timing. He always had a smile for us and a cheery upbeat attitude; even more amazing considering that during part of our planning he had been traveling from Portland to Salem to care for his mother. Just a good all-around kinda guy and we couldn't be happier to have had him DJ our wedding.

I loved our Vista Print invitations, Save the Dates, Thank you cards, and matching sticker seals! Its very inexpensive to upgrade packages to make the prints more unique and special, and they throw in all sorts of fun deals. We chose one of the preformatted designs and you can also design your own. Ours was simply rose petals and we got comments on the elegance of this simplicity. To compare, I also ordered samples from some of the more expensive "wedding" invitation companies - and they have thier own attraction - but really, what vistaprint offers is all you need. Our shipment was on time, quick turnaround even with the least expensive shipping, and everything was perfect. Nicely done vistaprint!

The Old Church is a lovely little historic site in downtown Portland and made a perfect setting for our wedding. The cost is incredibly reasonable for a downtown wedding and we were able to have both the ceremony and reception all at one place. The church also allows you to bring in your own food or caterer and only asks that if you serve alcohol that it be catered by a licensed professional. We were able to significantly reduce our food costs by buying food from Costco and bringing it in ourselves. Although they allow alcohol they do not allow red drinks of any kind, including red wine.

Throughout the planning process, the ladies who care for the church were very helpful and quick to answer any questions that came up. Although not a wedding coordinator, there is a staff member present to answer questions during the rehearsal as well as the actual wedding.

Future brides need to be aware that for an evening wedding at this church the music must be turned down or off completely by 10pm due to the church's close proximity to apartments nearby. This was not clearly stated in our paperwork and caused a moment of frusteration for us. Otherwise, everything was very well organized and went smoothly. The church looks especially gorgeous in the low lights of winter :)
