I ordered my white decorated sneakers from them well before my wedding, luckily. They took like 12 WEEKS to arrive which I thought was absolutely obnoxious. The website and order form said nothing about the fact it would take that long. The customer service people were also not very helpful or friendly about the situation when I called to check on the order periodically. That said, I was extremely happy with the finished product. They fit great and were really cute. I had mainly bought them as insurance and was hoping I wouldn’t need to wear them, except maybe for the cute “bride-in-sneakers” pic. Turned out my feet were absolutely KILLING me after the ceremony and I wound up wearing them all night. They really came through and I was so happy I had bought them.
My Glass Slipper was a great find. They had a ton of shoes to choose from which made it a lot easier. 2 weeks before my wedding I stupidly left my shoes in a cab after a fitting and wound up having to go back and purchase them again. They had them in stock and let me know if I recovered the original pair within 10 days that I could return the new unworn pair.
I was very happy with the quality of the silk and monogramming on the garter I ordered. Definitely a momento from the wedding that I will be keeping. Angel Threads were easy to work with and shipped my order quickly, although I don’t remember how long it took to arrive.

I was very happy with my salesperson Vicki Conti… she let me look through the dresses and choose a bunch to try on. She also brought some that she had selected. In the end I wound up choosing my Amsale which I had seen in a magazine ad and had fallen in love with. My dress came in on time and when it was time for fitting I worked with Maria Molinaro. She was excellent and a pleasure to work with. When I bought my dress they were in Brooklyn and when I went for fittings they had moved to the city. I had no problems whatsoever.
I totally loved her calm, soothing demeanor and didn’t even go for more than that first trial. Hired her that day. Closer to the wedding I decided I wanted my hair slightly different than our trial so I booked a second trial and brought a pic of the new style I wanted. It came out fab. On the day of she went totally above and beyond. My makeup was exactly what I wanted and stayed put all night. My hair looked way better than I had ever hoped. She and her assistamt (I forget her name) were so great to work with and fit everyone in and did a fabulous job all around. I would definitely recommend her.
DH used them for my engagement ring and we went back to them to purchase our wedding bands. My E-Ring & wedding bands are copies of Tiffiny designs that I love – and we paid a whole lot less than we would have at Tiffiny’s. DH got a basic comfort fit wedding band. We were very happy with their service and prices.

We found Steven Scott on the recommended vendor list for The Lighthouse. Our salesperson was Tammi – she was really cool and very easy to communicate with – we really felt she understood what we were looking for. We chose Gotham because we wanted a live band that had a strong male lead as well as a strong female lead. They also had a wide range of songs on their demo dvd that are songs that we like. We met with Dave (the bandleader) a few weeks before our wedding to iron out all the special music details. He was easy to work with and we felt he understood what we wanted as well.
On the day of we had the keyboardist & flute from the band play for our ceremony – they were excellent. The keyboard & sax played at the cocktail hour and were fabulous as well – so I hear as I really don’t remember this portion.
The full band played for the reception and were absolutely phenomenal! Dave played solo during the seated meal portion – stuff like “No Woman No Cry” & “Every Rose Has a Thorn” which was really great and much better than what I have heard previously. For dancing they played a great mix of different things – all of which were great songs.
Our only complaints were 1. They did not play the Springsteen set Erik had asked for (which is fine by me as I hate Bruce) 2. They did not play the last dance song we requested – NY State of Mind (but we think this may have been our fault as we may have not requested it 3. The mother/son dance was shorter than the father/daughter dance.
Overall we were thrilled with Gotham and felt they were a great choice and that they read the crowd well and had the dance floor packed all night.
We knew from the moment we met Alma that she was the right person to marry us. She was so warm and loving and had such a soothing voice – very important qualities for an officiant if you ask me. She worked with us prior to create a personalized ceremony (we not religious so there was none of that although I believe she does religious ceremonies) that really captured who we are. She gave us each a questionnaire that we filled out and read excerpts from our answers during the ceremony. We had not heard each others answers prior to that day so it really was a nice way to have a little bit of a surprise. Everyone absolutely raved about what a great ceremony we had and they loved that it was different than any other ceremony they had ever been to.

Kiriba’s flowers far outweighed my expectations! We had originally wanted a lush fall flowers arch but compromised on 2 large fall arrangements to get married in front of due to budget. I was totally blown away with the final product that was there on our wedding day. It was actually 2 huge arrangements but looked exactly like the arch we wanted that we thought was out of our budget. It was simply amazing. I knew that the centerpieces were going to be fabulous because I had seen a sample. But seeing them in the room on the 16 tables – they looked even more amazing. My bouquet was absolutely to die for as well. It was all red roses and berries and was huge and more gorgeous than I could have hoped for. He also hung votive candles from the exposed pipes in the ceiling over the dance floor which looked like stars over the dance floor – this looked so so cool.
The only thing I was even slightly unhappy about were that the BM bouquets were smaller than I expected – this was not an issue for me though given the other amazing things he did for us.
I got so many compliments on the flowers – people could not stop talking about them all night. I highly recommend Kiriba – he was friendly, had plenty of ideas, and worked within our budget to produce the flowers of my dreams.

We went with The Lighthouse because we really felt that they had everything under control and that we would not have to be involved in every detail… on the day of we wanted to feel like guests at our wedding.
About 2 months prior to our wedding we were assigned Randall as our event manager. He handled choosing the menu and and all the other details that needed to be taken care of like dropping things off a few days prior and making sure he coordinated with Elaine on timing for the day. He was really great to work with. My only complaint was that he was hard to get in touch with prior to the day of. My other complaint with The Lighthouse was when we booked the place they told us transportation at the end of the night would not be a problem for our guests and that they would arrange to have a bunch of cars waiting. Turned out they were not prepared for the number that needed transport and there were people walking out into the streets to hail cabs. I was disappointed by this as if I had know I would have arranged for a bunch of town cars or something. Other than those 2 small things, The Lighthouse were an absolute pleasure to work with…
The Abigail Kirsch food was amazing and I am still hearing about how good it was from the guests. The waitstaff provided excellent service to all the guests and treated us like the king and queen – constantly available to get us anything we wanted. We had our ceremony on an angle looking into the corner of the glass room (the way most people do it) so there was some breakdown necessary after the ceremony and setup of the lowest level needed prior to the reception. This all happened seamlessly and I didn’t even know it was occurring. Before the reception started, we were brought in to see the room before the maddness started which was really nice. We got to have a quiet moment to take it all in and see everything before everyone was in there.
Overall, I was extremely happy with The Lighthouse and would definitely recommend it.
