I have mixed feelings about the Queen Mary. I rated it pretty high because the wedding day itself was wonderful. Everything was beautiful and went smoothly. The catering and bar staff were wonderful. Very attentive and friendly. The food was good, and everyone had fun. And you really can't beat the view there. It felt pretty and elegant and all our guests loved it.
We stayed on the ship and upgraded to a suite, which was really nice but we had hotel security come and say we were being too loud when some wedding guests stopped by. We were more than happy to quiet down, but actually security, instead of just asking people to quiet down, threatened to kick people off the ship if they didn't leave our suite. It was so unnecessary since people were just talking and were there for our wedding! Walls in the hotel are really thin.
Now here are some of the issues I had prior to the wedding day: Our wedding coordinator was changed 3 times. The last time the change occurred no one even bothered to tell us about it until I finally called asking why our coordinator wasn't answering my emails. We got assigned to a new and luckily final coordinator just a couple weeks before the wedding, and she was not that helpful. She answered emails and calls okay but at the rehearsal and wedding she just disappeared! Luckily I had hired my own day of coordinator who was AMAZING so all my events ran smoothly. I would definitely say that hiring your own coordinator for the day is a MUST if you choose this location.
We also had problems with reserving a block of rooms at the hotel. It took about 3 times before they finally put the reservation through, and one of the times my mom called they were really rude to her on the phone. To be fair, our coordinator at that time did call my mom back to apologize for the rudeness of the hotel staff.
All that said, if I had to do it over again, I would still have my wedding at the Queen Mary. The day was perfect and fun and the staff, other than the wedding coordinators, were great. Plus, really can't beat the history and the views! I loved my wedding there - just be prepared for some head aches before your big day!

I can't say enough great things about Massey's House of Flowers! I am so glad we had Lupe do the flowers for our wedding. She made sure to stick within our budget and had lots of great suggestions for beautiful flowers that wouldn't leave us broke! On the wedding day, the flowers literally left me speechless for a moment because they were all more beautiful than I had even imagined. Lupe is truly an artist with her flowers and really worked with my vision for the day. Plus, she is very sweet and fun to work with. If you go with Massey's House of Flowers for your wedding, you really won't be disappointed.
