We had the wedding shower here in one of their smaller ballrooms. This place is run by a Polish family. They offer a good value and a nice venue. The food is nothing to die for but the place is pretty and provides a great atmosphere for a shower.

Loved the dress. They were very accommodating, with a great selection. Make sure to consider how much alterations are. Depending on the dress, they can end up costing you 30-50% of the dress cost…so ask first so you are not surprised.

We rented our tuxedos from the Afterhours Formalwear in Oakbrook, before the company changed over to Men's Wearhouse Tux. The service was not bad at Afterhours. They have groom 50% off tux rental, which I think is sort of unfair to your Groomsmen. I recently heard that Men’s Warehouse has a tux special for $250 and that is a much better deal because you get to own the tux. Considering that most tuxes cost about $175 (out the door) you are much better off with the Men’s Warehouse option. I wish we did that!

The guys at American Coach Limousine were great. They negotiate on price more than most and gave us the best price. They had a better car (300M) available our day and sent that one instead of the one we ordered, which showed that they do a good job and care about the business they are in.

We got married at St. Vincent Ferrer church in River Forest. We had our rehearsal dinner at Sparacino Restorante down the block. They closed the whole restaurant for us (it fits up to 60 people). Very romantic and very good food! It’s very well priced and we go back often!

Alex Pearl went out of business and we thankfully tracked him down to get the raw tapes from him. Take this as a word of caution not to use someone without an office location or works out of his house. He was our last selection and we didn’t do enough due diligence. Thankfully, we got the raw tapes.

He is very professional and very organized. He is fairly priced (maybe a little high), but got the job done. He had a 3 year waiting period before we can “own” the negatives which were a little frustrating for the parents…try and negotiate that down to 1 year or less. Parents want pictures and the parent package he has is too small, so they end up spending hundreds of dollars more. Try to negotiate more upfront so you are not surprised.

She is very good at what she does. The flowers were beautiful. She is awfully good at making you spend much more then you really wanted too. I think she is pretty overpriced, but if money is no object give her a call.

By far the best money we spent on our wedding. Everyone was dancing all night long. I told Peter after the wedding, he was the one vendor I would have paid more then what he asked for!

We loved Café La Cave and so did our guests. They offer the best food and the absolute best service and all for a very reasonable price! We got some many complements on how good the food and service was at Café La Cave. Don’t let the location fool you…its very easy to get to and the surrounding hotels offer a free shuttle for your guests that want to stay at the surrounding hotels. About a year before our wedding, a client of mine in Houston commented on how good the food was here before I let him know that was where we were going to have our reception.
