I ordered my veil online because I was shocked at the prices in the store. I knew that I wanted something vintage looking, so I just typed that into a search engine. The seller on esty had so many beautiful things, and I was nervous about ordering something online. We exchanged emails and she said she would return my money completely if I didn’t like the veil. It arrived and it looked exactly like the picture. I was so whimsical, I just loved it. It completed the look of my dress.

There was nothing special about the limousine company, but our family has used them a lot in the past year. I think it was amazing that she managed to convince him to hold my hand! The pictures were beautiful, I loved the wedding ones even more.

People complain about how long it takes to make invitations, but I think that the guest really appreciate the time and effort we took. My husband and I got our art supplies from Micheal’s Craft store, and then we took a whole day to make the invitations. I like the things they sell at Michael’s, but I also think it helps to know your way around the store. I like to scrapbook, so I know where all the nice paper is, and where to find the things on sale.

We used the hotel’s catering team. They just gave us three menus to chose from, and told us that they pretty much could do whatever we wanted. We went with what they said worked best, and it really did work best. I loved how the manager also talked us out of ordering so many appetizers, because she said most of it would just get thrown out. I liked that they were able to coordinate all the food serving and such, and all my husband and I needed to do was sit down at 7pm and then the dinner would be served.

My best friend didn’t have a wedding cake at her wedding, which is why I wanted to have a wedding cake at my wedding. I got the contact information for this bakery from a woman at work whose daughter had gotten married. The cake was great. It was very simple, very, very simple. We just wanted a cake and we didn’t spend extra on special fillings or a third tier.

My best friend took the lead in getting all the bridesmaids to go to David’s Bridal to go wedding dress shopping. I loved that the girls went once before me because I avoided watching them argue over what style of dress is better. The wedding dress consultant at David’s Bridal gave them a bit of a hard time since there was no bride. I thought it made the most sense because when I went shopping with them the following week, they showed me right away the two dress styles they were all willing to wear. Bridesmaids dresses are so hideous, even after alterations. The girls looked nice, but it was obvious the dresses they chose were bridemaids dresses.

My best friend co-hosted a Bridal shower barbq at my cousin’s house. They had bought trays of food from Wegmans because my best friend said that it was cheaper and easier than trying to organize a potluck. The food was amazing! They had all these hot and cold plates, and the dessert trays were amazing. Everyone was so impressed. I liked it because it tasted as good as homemade, probably better. I usually by dinner plates, but this was the first time I saw how amazing their selection is.

I also went to Victoria Secret and bought my wedding day underwear and strapless bra. I think some of Victoria Secrets things are made cheaply, but their wedding and formal stuff is pretty nice. And well made. I spent about $140 for both the bra and girdle.
