Stone Manor WAS a little known country Bed & Breakfast that is a rehabbed old country manor sitting on acres of beautiful land in Middletown, MD right outside of Frederick. It's a bit out there but SO worth the drive. Their pricing is reasonable and we were a bit nervous at first because of their Exclusive Caterer, but Carriage House Inn is SO incredible and the manager of Stone Manor, Brian Childs, insists that when the Carriage House comes to Stone Manor they step up their quality of food. It was excellent to begin with so I can't wait! Brian and his wife Loree are VERY nice and easy to work with. They're willing to work with you and suggest vendors they've worked with before and know are reliable for all your other services, and they're local so you don't have to worry as much if something goes awry, because they're close by to fix a problem. There are tons of locations on site for the ceremony and a huge tent for the reception up to 350 people as well. It's also the perfect setting to include a horse and carriage for your entrance ;)

Well my fiance used the family jewelry place to get my engagement ring & band, we needed to look for aforadable wedding bands for him and a vacation band for me. We went looking around all the stores in the mall to try to find a style we liked, and ended up at Zales. Their pricing is affordable, especially during sales, and their protection plan is well worth the money. I bought my band on the spot and sent it off right away to be sized.

While I LOVE my photographers, there are certain things that need to be captured by video. A picture alone cannot capture the reason of the laughter or tears that the photographer can capture. I've seen the sample video and his eye for composition is great. The video flows so naturally, the editing is wonderful and the music just flows beautifully along. I can't wait to see how mine turns out. Also, for the quality the price is great. He is very flexible and allows you to assist with the editing so you can pick what goes and what stays in your video's. Because our wedding is technically in the "off" season, we also received a great discount!

Ory and Carla are so incredibly creative! Their arrangements look incredible and Carla was amazing to work with. She really listens and tries to suggest things to help get your vision on the table. They are a bit on the pricey end for things that you are virtually renting, BUT it IS still cheaper on most things than buying them yourself. And really... what are you going to do with 20 large cylinder vases??

The food is AWESOME. Just plain AWESOME. Their menu is exquisite and surprisingly affordable for what you get. The Chef is amazingly accomodating and has incredible, award winning creations. I can not WAIT to eat this food!! It's incredible, I just really can't say enough about it. There isn't a single item i've tried at the restaurant or for my menu tasting that I didn't find AMAZING.

Dan is our DJ for our event, and he will be doing our ceremony and reception. He has a great calming voice but is also very present. He's extremely professional and seems to have an excellent collection and is willing to go out and get any music we request if he doesn't already have it. He made us feel comfortable that our guests wouldn't get offended or yelled at to get up and dance or drowned out of conversation by having the music too loud. He totally respects that it is OUR special day and any requests from guests that conflict with our wishes (banned songs) will be tactfully dealt with. He also has a very good feel for people and I believe he will do a great job in breaking the ice and getting people up and dancing and keeping them up all night!

Debbi, the baker of The Cake Studio is very pleasant and extremely accomodating. She can pretty much create anything you can think of and does it very well. Her cakes were delicious and she is also willing to create custom creations to your taste. Her pricing is VERY reasonable, but through my wedding planner. I'm not sure what her regular rates would be but I still think a very good value for the money.

Michelle Rose of Three Blondes felt like one of my girlfriends right from the get-go. She made me feel very comfortable and confident in her abilities. Looking over her body of work led me to believe she and her fellow photographers were perfect for my wedding. I am an avid photographer myself (hobby) so I was very picky in what I was looking for. Their photojournalistic style really helps to capture the moments as they happen as opposed to posed creations. I'm really looking forward to working with her and her crew! On the down side, they are a bit pricey, but I think it will be worth the memories they'll capture.

This one really depends on the David's shop you end up going to. I hear there are some out there that are really really good. Otherwise, it's basically a dress barn. On the plus side, there are lots of choices, especially if you're a "normal" size. For Plus Size there's still not a TON of selection, but more than any normal bridal boutique store. On the down side, depending on your consultant, or the store, or the time of day you go... you don't get the real personalized attention you should get. But for Bridesmaids dresses, you get a pretty good selection, pretty good prices (again compared to smaller boutiques) and it's easy to fit any shape or size for the bridesmaids. But as with most places, once they have your money all pleasantries are basically over.

Karin & Peyton Craig of Encounters Inc. are wonderful as wedding planners. Karin can be a bit much at first, but Peyton balances that very well and they really get things DONE. They are an excellent resource for other vendors who are a great value for the quality work you would want for your wedding. They are both also up for all the challenges I've put to them and a great resource for etiquette.
