Food tasted great! Service was a little slow, but he was understaffed that day as it was close to a holiday. He was able to stay within our budget and had creative substitutions for more expensive endeavors that looked and tasted great. He had us buy our own paper products, but was able to suggest a local grocer that carried professional-quality stock for a low price in bulk, and everything looked great. He also put together a breakfast tray which he wheeled into the dressing rooms, as we had a morning wedding, with Danish, bagels, and coffee/juice for those getting dressed or participating in the ceremony and arriving early.

Grantham was easy to work with, although they do require marriage counseling for couples being married in their sanctuary which is something to consider if a couple doesn’t want to do that. Lovely sanctuary--sprawling seats for guests on each side, roomy, a high ceiling, and a center aisle that’s just long enough. They have a full pipe organ which is great for processional/recessional and graduated stairs leading up to the ‘stage’ platform, so it makes it really easy for the wedding party to look great. Usually, you can also hire the church organist when you rent the church, which makes music very easy.

Our flowers were beautiful! We used all white flowers, primarily calla lilies, and the Blossom Shop did a great job with the arrangements. My bridal cascade was just gorgeous. Each girl had a single lily, and each was decorated with ribbons. The altar arrangements were lovely and fresh, and stayed that way the whole next week as we enjoyed them at our new place. Karen (the associate that worked with us) met with us two times to discuss possible arrangements and flowers, and was creative with our ideas.

None of our guests who stayed the night had any complaints. It was handicap-accessible (for grandparents) and the location was excellent-only about 4 miles from the wedding location. It’s right off the interstate, so it’s easy to access the church.

Linda did a beautiful job on my hair! Mine’s on the shorter side, so I couldn’t do an updo, but she curled and arranged mine around the veil. It was beautiful and I got tons of compliments on it. She was also great with working with me before the ‘big day;’ she did a trial run about a month before to experiment and try different things with the veil. Very accommodating and excellent result.

We stayed in Gettysburg at the Gettystown Inn, part of the Dobbin House Tavern. It was perfect. The furniture is quaint and old-fashioned and the continental breakfast is actually in the tavern—and it’s wonderful! Every morning they have different selections of bread and muffins, as well as coffee and juice and a house-cooked full-course meal with eggs, meat and fruit (cooked differently each day). They advertise on their food, primarily, and it lives up to the reputation! The room was also very nice, and the inn was very quiet and relaxing. The town itself was very relaxed and quiet, since it was winter, and we had a great time exploring the outlets, the movies, and the Boyd’s Bear factory.
Excellent to work with, has very different options for different budgets but all of them are great. He’s creative, and kind when working with families. Very professional. His work is excellent. More expensive packages also feature his wife as a photographer, so you get two, and their work is beautiful.

They weren’t quite ready for us on time, which was a bit unprofessional, but when they were, it was great food! They had excellent service as well and made sure to keep things stocked. They allowed us to decorate with custom centerpieces, and they looked beautiful. Their friendly staff was helpful but stayed out of the way and respected our privacy, too.

Excellent. We went and picked out what we wanted, and then they recorded a group number for us. That made it very easy for us to simply tell each groomsman the group number, and they went in and were measured and didn’t have to worry about making sure they had the correct pieces, as it was already recorded in their database. That was great for us, as ours lived in different parts of the state at the time of fitting. The tuxes fit all the men well, matched perfectly, and they looked sharp!
Whitehall Jewelers in Philadelphia, where we purchased a plain gold band. That was more of a fly-by-night, we just walked in, but were able to find one where the color of gold matched the engagement ring exactly and looked great as a set and so we went with that. The salesladies at both places were very helpful.
