I went to five different David's Bridal stores in three different states (Washington, California, Missouri) and found there to be a VAST discrepancy in helpfulness, cleanliness, and general organization. I can heartily recommend the stores in Palm Springs, California and Sunset Hills, Missouri. The service people at both of these locations were incredibly sensitive, accommodating, informative, and patient. The seamstress who hemmed by dress in the Sunset Hills store was absolutely amazing--she spent two hours pinning it so all the pick-ups fell just perfectly, and did a superb job on the final product.
I found David's Bridal to be very reasonably priced, and the wedding dress came with a book of coupons, so I ended up getting all my wedding favours, invitations, mother of the bride dress, and bridesmaid's dresses and shoes from them, because the savings were unbeatable. Everyone at the wedding complemented me on what I had purchased from the store.
The only thing I didn't like about the dress selection, which is more a product of the current fashion than a fault of the store, is that it is virtually impossible to find something that is not strapless or a halter top. David's Bridal offers some sleeve options, but I don't find them extremely attractive as they are mostly just skin-tight and sheer--nothing flowing and elegant. But my dress was beautiful, nonetheless, and everyone said I looked like Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
So if you are trying to be economical with your wedding outfits but still want to look classy, I highly recommend David's Bridal. And if you have a bad experience at one of them (I had a few), you might want to try out a different store!
