We booked a guest shuttle van from Michael Limo because they provided the cheapest quote. We didn't really do a lot of correspondence with this vendor, but it didn't matter. They were right on time. I'm so glad I got the shuttle van because half my friends used it to return to the hotel they were staying at.

We rented chair sashes for table runners from BBJ Linen. This was a very economical option and they turned out beautifully! My mom said it was easy to FEDEX them back to the company. No problems, easy service- everything arrived as ordered.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Ram's Head Tavern. It is more a classy version of a pub-type feel restaurant as they brew their own beer, but have really good food. A great place if you want your rehearsal dinner to be casual, but still nice. We were very pleased with how our event there turned out.

I wanted curls and my hair half back and Great Clips did that for me! My dad told me he loved my hair and he never notices stuff like that. The tiara and veil stayed in all night throughout the dancing too! The only problem was my hair starting to uncurl as the night progressed but I am convinced my hair would do that no matter how much hair spray I put in it.

Guest Lodging: Really, just by its location, it was the perfect hotel for a hotel block. The hotel itself is beautiful and the service was great (everyone received their OOT bag). My friends had a big after-party there and only had security come once. ;) Parking and breakfast isn’t free though.

I think Tonya from Occasional Flowers was my favorite vendor. The flowers were beautiful and exactly how I envisioned them. She works out of her home and has so much talent! I highly recommend Tonya- she did a spectacular job for my wedding and was a pleasure to work with.

Our DJ was familiar with the reception site and had a great idea to do the first dance outside before dinner. He also played every song on my playlist and the dance floor was packed all night. I didn't give him 5 stars for two reasons. One is he was a little more "professional" than I'd like. I mean I don't want a cheesy DJ but he looked so serious during the whole DJing that he didn't look like he was having much fun. The second, more important, reason is my parents said they had to remind him about announcements and that we were running late because of it. But everyone danced all night so I can't complain too much. :)

Robert Sorel of Silver Strings Ensembles played our ceremony music. He has sound bytes on his webpage to check out and really good prices! He was a little late to start playing, but everyone thought he played beautifully. Robert was very responsive during the planning process, and overall was easy to work with.

This site made the wedding. We held our ceremony and reception at the Audubon Woodend Sanctuary. It has a beautiful grove outside to get married in. During the ceremony, deer walked by and rabbits hopped along. There weren't too many insects, which could be of concern in a wooded/outdoor area. The grove was just so serene and calming. Also- it wasn't too expensive because we got married on a Friday. We had to use a caterer from their list of approved vendors, but it was still worth every penny!

The most budget-friendly of the caterers on our reception site's list (for the DC area... it's relatively reasonable). The only reason I don't give this company 5 stars is that my husband and I got switched to 3 different persons of contacts in the course of our half year engagement, and that made getting in touch with the right person difficult. But our last contact, Paola, was awesome! We gave her all the materials to set up and she did everything. The food was so good (we got many compliments) and the setup was beautiful. Top notch service as well.
