We purchased all of our rings through The Shane jewelry company. They were very helpful
in assisting my husband to find the perfect engagement ring at the price he wanted.
They also helped us find a band to go with it, although it took
several visits to the store! They offer lifetime care of the rings at
no extra charge, which is an added bonus. They are always friendly and eager
to assist when you walk into the store. Overall we were very pleased
with their selections and service.

Instead of having a limousine service, for our wedding we rented two town cars for the bridal party! It was a classy alternative to limo rentals. The cars were clean and looked very sleek the day of our wedding. The Hertz Company was easy to communicate with and very straightforward. I would recommend this as an alternative to others who don't want to use a limo service.

We had room blocks at The Hyatt Place and La Quinta, both in Hoffman Estates. We were not as impressed with La Quinta. They had a difficult time finding our block of rooms when guests called to make a reservation. They were disorganized and obviously didn't want our business. I would not recommend La Quinta for out-of-town wedding guests.

Some of our out of town guests stayed at the Hyatt Place in Hoffman Estates. The rooms were nice and big. There was a good breakfast included in the room price. They also provided a shuttle to the reception for the guests at no extra charge as long as we met the room quota. They also gave us two free nights for having a certain number of rooms.

My husband was very happy with the tuxedo selection that Men's Wearhouse Tux had to offer. The
groomsmen's vests matched the bridesmaid dresses perfectly. The service was prompt and accurate. We had no problems and all of the men in the wedding party looked great!

The staff at David's Bridal was very helpful while I was looking for a dress. They were
attentive and helpful in finding accessories (veils) to go with the
dress, as well. However, once I bought the dress they stopped being so helpful.
The alteration ladies all told us a different story about the status of the service, but in the end the
alterations and pressing turned out just fine.

We held our wedding reception at Makray Memorial Golf Club. The place is beautiful, with the entire upstairs blocked off for the
wedding, complete with bathrooms and a bridal room. There was a nice balcony that people used during the cocktail hour. The food was superb and we were able to do an individual taste test with up to 6 people with any food that we wanted. One negative was a $2 per person charge to do a split entree. There is also a minimum that must be met with only food and beverage that was difficult to meet with the size wedding we had (125). They were very helpful in the beginning but as the wedding date neared, it was difficult to get in touch with the coordinator. Overall, the night of the wedding went very smoothly.

I usually get my hair cut at Dolce Day Spa, so I knew they had a good reputation.
I was very pleased with the woman who did my manicure and pedicure...I
got them done 2 days before the wedding and they still looked perfect
on the wedding day and during the honeymoon! I had a make-up and up-do
trial a few months before the wedding, and they took notes about the
make-up they used so there was no confusion the day of the wedding.
My entire bridal party got their hair done there, as well. There was
one stylist who was uncertain of the updo she was doing, but in the end
it turned out nicely.

Grapevine Floral is a smaller florist who basically does special events. We worked with
Keely and she was very knowledgeable about different flowers and which
ones are in season to save some money. She has great ideas to "fill in
the blanks" if I wasn't sure specifically what I wanted. She had
multiple photo books of the work they had done showing all sorts of
boutonnieres, bouquets, and alter arrangements. There was a rather
large fee to have flowers moved from the ceremony to the reception
site, but we only had about 2 arrangements to move so we chose to do it
ourselves.

Erick Runyon is from Florida and flies all over to do weddings. He was
incredible-very fun to work with, he had creative ideas, and he was
always there for great photo-opts. He gave us full rights to all the
images, but he doesn't put together an album. His pictures turned out
amazing, so we don't mind having to put together the album ourself.
Hiring Erick was most definitely worth it. We highly recommend him to others!
