I bought a print-it-yourself wedding save-the-date kit. The kit was for postcards that looked very regal and had “save-the-date” written across the front. It was easy to use, and the cards came out professional looking from our small printer. I think making your own cards is a good idea if you only need to make a few. We were having a small wedding, so it didn’t take much time to make all the cards.

We went here with both families for a Sunday Brunch the week before the wedding. It’s a great place, very family-oriented and cozy. My family took turns standing up and giving small toasts, and the other guests were really nice about our presence. The food is German, and the buffet for Sunday brunch has some of the freshest and best tasting food I have ever had for Sunday Brunch. The baked goods are also wonderful. This is the place where you sit down and you eat and eat and eat because everything is so good, and then stand up shocked because you can’t believe how much you just ate.

This is not a traditional place to hold a wedding reception, but my fiancé and I wanted something that was upbeat and lively. The Jazmos Bourbon Street café has great energy and atmosphere. They have banquet facilities, which we were able to decorate according to my mother’s wishes, and the food was great. Spicy and hot and lots of it! They have the banquet area and will work on a menu with you, which is great. The location, in Bricktown, is also fun for our guests that were coming from out of town. It’s trendy and cool, and clean.

We thought it would be a good idea to get disposable wedding cameras and hand them out to the guests at the ceremony and reception. We had 48 cameras in total, two orders of 24 cameras. We thought that these cameras, along with all the digital cameras, would capture great memories. We had a few good pictures, but most of the cameras weren’t filled. I think we could have done with just 24 cameras. We had some nice pictures, a few great pictures, and mostly okay pictures. It cost 100 of dollars less than a photographer, but we’re kind of kicking ourselves on that decision now that we have so few pictures.

This is where I always go to have my hair highlighted and cut. The staff there knows me really well, and I had my hair done here for my wedding. I think the best part was that because I am a regular customer, I had a free wedding up-do consultation. My hair looked great, and the whole experienced was timed perfectly.

There are a few Party Galaxy stores around Oklahoma City that sell party favors, and I can’t remember for sure which store location we visited. Once my mother found out about the gecko cake, and the lively reception venue, she thought it would be fun to have small pink and blue geckos decorate the tables. It was kind of cute, but it was a bit pricey considering we just threw out the plastic toys afterwards. We were also able to get candy dishes in the shape of lizards and other mardi gras/wedding decorations decorations that we used at the bridal shower. It’s very party oriented, and you will find lots of small things that you can use to decorate your wedding with.

We received dance lessons from my best friend as part of her wedding present to us. We weren’t going to have a big first dance moment, but this was good because when we stood up in front of everyone we did more than just sway, which IS boring. Sheila was our teacher for 5 lessons, the Ruby Package, and she was able to show us what to do with our hands and feet. Learning this simple moves made dancing more fun for us! It was a great gift, and if we ever have time, I’d like to have more lessons with Shelia.

This is a collection of beautiful gardens that I believed were the perfect setting for a small wedding ceremony. We were having a small wedding, less than 75 people, and we wanted the ceremony to be even more intimate, with only close family and friends. We contacted Cole Gardens and explained what we wanted, and the consultants and managers were able to come up with a package that suited our needs. We were able to get married by our minister, and then have three hours for photos. Most people who go to Coles Gardens have the ceremony and the reception, but the reception halls were too big for the number of guests we have. The flowers are beautiful, and I loved our pictures. Also, if you get married in the garden you don’t have to worry about ceremony decorations!

This is the place you go to if you want a cake that looks like something crazy! My husband and I are huge gecko fans; we actually have 15 pet geckos! My best friend found Rosebeary’s Cakes in Guthrie. After we talked with the staff, they agreed that they could make us a non-traditional wedding cake that looked just like a green gecko! It was great! We brought out the cake towards the end of the evening, and the guests just loved it at the reception! The only thing was that it was my friend that went and picked up the cake, and drove it over to the restaurant. That was a bit nerve wrecking, driving around such and expensive cake. They package it well, and it looked like a great gecko when it arrived. Also, we weren’t really suppose to bring in our own cake, but we didn’t ask and they couldn’t really stop us from serving a green cake.

I wanted traditional pink bridesmaids’ dresses since I was 4 years old. I always had the vision of being surrounded on my wedding day by my best friends in puffy pink dresses, and I was getting my wish. We looked around at a few stores, and we found that the Enchanted Bridal Store had the nicest pink bridesmaids dress. They didn’t have the biggest selection, but they did have the dress in the style that I wanted. We were able to have the alterations done in the store, which was helpful and a time saver. I also made sure that I had the dresses chosen and ordered almost 12 months before the wedding date.
