We decided to splurge for our wedding night and got a suite at the new Ameristar Casino hotel. It was amazing! I’m so glad that we spent the extra money…it truly is an experience we will never forget.

The schedule and transportation requirements for our day didn’t fit with any of their packages. We were able to do a customized package. We had 2 different vehicles and two different drivers. Both drivers were great! They kept us laughing the entire time!

We ordered save the date magnets. They were reasonably priced and easy to work with. They send you a proof before placing your final order. Their website is also easy to navigate and uploading the pictures was a breeze. We got so many compliments on the save the dates that we decided to order thank you magnets too.

Definitely not your normal banquet center. The Foundry has a very open feel with tall ceilings. It’s a large room but we only had 100 guests and were able to use all the space to create different settings ( bar / cocktail area, guest tables, dance floor ). They are easy to work with.

Kevin was great. His wife, Joy came and helped organize everyone. We met Kevin & Joy at our church and got to know them better throughout the planning process. They were very flexible with the organization of our ceremony and we were able to customize most of it.

We ordered the tuxes from Jim’s Formal Wear. They do not have their own stores. You can only order through a bridal shop. The tuxes ended up fine but weren’t as nice as I was expecting. The brown shoes didn’t really match the brown tuxes.

We first bought my engagement ring at Shane Co and later went back for our wedding bands. My DH found his band right away. Unfortunately my engagement ring is too unique for any of their standard bands. We were disappointed when they said that even though they made my engagement ring, they wouldn’t do a custom wedding band. Luckily we found a different local jeweler ( sorry I can’t remember their name ) that made my band.

All in all we love Shane Co and take our rings back every once in a while for cleaning and such.

Our invitations were inexpensive and still looked wonderful. We chose a simple yet elegant design. They came in the mail within 5 days and were super easy to put together.

St. Lucia is a tiny island in the Caribbean and absolutely beautiful. We had an all-inclusive package at the resort for our honeymoon. The staff was super friendly and by the second day we knew what drinks and food we liked before we even ordered. We had an ocean front suite and the staff left little surprises every day ( flowers on the bed, champagne, etc ). We felt truly special all week.

They have a “wedding coordinator” that sets up appointments for brides. Because my hairstyle was simple I decided not to do a trial run. On the day of the wedding however, my stylist was not informed that it was the actual day ( he thought it was a trial run ). Therefore he was running late. When we actually got to tell him that it was the wedding day he sped things up and my hair turned out great and held all day long.

I also treated the girls to a spa day at American Image. We got pedicures & manicures. It was fun and relaxing and the people at American Image were accommodating and helpful.
