Since I have always been an independent planner, and never worked with a travel agent before, I was a little skeptical. Lisa was very helpful, and guided us towards options that fit all of our needs and qualifications for a great honeymoon. She had recently visited many of the resorts we were considering, which helped to calm our fears greatly!

Not only was JED fabulous to work with, they gave me a straight-laced quote that included everything! The limo bus was perfect, and the driver could not have been more easygoing and knowledgeable about all of our photo sites! I have been in many a limo where the driver doesn’t really know where the group was headed, etc. Our group felt safe, secure, and had a blast while riding around the city!

Capt. Rib Bolton runs Salty Dog, and he is a valuable videographer for the St. Louis area! His other company runs Safari’s – so I figured that shooting a wedding had to be easier than riding through the Serengeti with wild animals, right? Capt. Rib did a great job capturing our big day, and even mingled at the cocktail hour to get small snippet interviews from our guests, etc. He was present without being intrusive, and we were thrilled to have him document our wedding start to finish.
The low rating is not because our Save The Date’s were bad, but the service with Kodak was awful! They have a great array of options for unique Save the Date cards – but fixing formatting issues proved to be a huge pain in my side. Give yourself plenty of time when deciding to use Kodak – you will need it!

They have many options of linens to choose from, and were very willing to work with me on my overall vision – changing “bows” on the chairs to other knots, etc, etc. They took care of the set up and did not charge additional delivery charges for the event, which was lovely.

Rehearsal Dinner: We used their outside patio for a great cocktail hour, and then proceeded downstairs to the wine room for a plated dinner. There were many options to choose from, and the chef did a great job working with us to develop a menu that suited our tastes. The space is beautiful, and many guests commented on how proximal it was to all of the other bars in the area if they cared to get a drink after, etc. We had 45 people at the rehearsal dinner, and it seats 75 max – the space was intimate and perfect to reminisce the night before our wedding!

This is a great site for a wedding reception under 200. They will tell you it seats 250 – but that is tight! We had approx 175 guests and everyone had plenty of room to move, dance, mingle, etc. The grounds are beautiful and you have access to two large verandas on either side of the clubhouse. It is also one of the most reasonable venues to rent in Forest Park – a notoriously expensive wedding reception area.
If I could give Lisa a 6 out of 5, I would! She is a hidden gem in the world of St. Louis wedding photography. Her packages are reasonably priced, and she offers amazing post-production/editing work on your photos! Not to mention, her husband is her assistant photographer, so you get a great team to work with you on your big day. They made our entire bridal party feel comfortable in front of the camera, and really captured the essence of our wedding day.

My engagement ring came from Tiffany, and while we had lovely service from the Tiffany&Co representatives, we needed a custom piece done for my wedding band. Jon Reusch set 2 diamonds from a family heirloom into a new band, and took the time to hand-match the cut and clarity to additional stones for the piece. The result was phenomenal, and we were very pleased!

The stylists at the PJS went the extra mile for my bridal party. They were easy-going, and let us just sit back and enjoy the day. The girls’ hair looked fantastic – and was definitely what I originally desired! They are located in the Central West End in St. Louis, which is very close to many hotels, and Forest Park. It was a breeze to be so close to our hair stylists! There is also a spa for manicures/pedicures as well. Just a note – do book ahead – they fill up quickly for large bridal parties.
