We weren't real big on the throwing rice thing, and would've loved to have fireworks - but since those were so expensive, sparklers were a perfect way to go for us. We had our guests light them as we were making out getaway, and they made for some really great pictures. We ordered them from Buysparklers.com a few weeks before the wedding and had no trouble with the site. We went with gold, but they have several color options to choose from - totally cost effective too.

We bought several cases of Trader Joe's 'two buck chuck' wine to serve at our reception. It turned out to be quite a hit with our guests! No one had any idea how cheap the wine was, and it saved us a TON of money. The only hitch was that we had to drive to a neighboring state to buy it since the Trader Joe's in Nashville doesn't carry wine. It wasn't a big deal though - my wife and I just made a weekend road trip out of it. Alcohol can kill your budget, so this is a really great option if you're looking to save some money and cut costs.

We had a block of rooms booked at the Renaissance for our out of town guests. We wanted our guests to have the option of being right down town in the middle of all of Nashville's action so that they could site see while in town for our wedding. The Renaissance has beautiful rooms that almost all have a great view of the city. They also have a trendy hotel bar called 'The Bridge Bar' that was a nice place to be able to meet up with our guests who were able to come in a few days earlier. All in all, you can't beat the location or quality for the price.

We had custom gifts made for not only each member of the bridal party but also for each of our parents. With the bridesmaids, this went over much better than just jewelry to match their dress. Our parents were overwhelmed by the gesture and appreciate us doing something to recognize everything they've done for us. The gifts are a little pricey, but the quality is worth the extra cost in my opinion.

My wife used Lisa for several things having to do with our wedding. First, she brought her out to our engagement photo shoot to do her makeup. It turned out that Lisa was also great in giving us direction and contributing in ideas of how to pose without making us look too posed (if that makes sense!). Lisa also did my wife, her bridesmaids and our mother's makeup for the wedding. All of the ladies looked beautiful - especially my wife!

My wife bought her shoes for the wedding and reception here. She also picked out the shoes she wanted her bridesmaids to wear from this site. It was a convenient option because her bridesmaids were able to order their own and have them shipped directly to them for free without having to run around town looking for the exact shoe that my wife had chosen for them to wear. I've even found some shoes on this site for myself after the wedding!

My wife had used Joy for other alterations before, and heard that she did some great things with bridal gowns. Her bridesmaids also brought their dresses to Joy to have them fitted. She was fast, efficient and relatively comparable in price to other tailors/alteration locations that my wife priced. Her shop is also located just off the interstate close to where my wife works, so it was really convenient for her to run over there for fittings.

I ended up buying my wife's engagement ring at Genesis. I had initially planned to buy the ring through a wholesaler friend of mine, but he was taking forever to get the ring to me. I decided to price it out and was surprised to find that some of the stuff at Genesis is comparable to the price I was getting at my wholesaler - and I could walk out of the store with the ring that day.

I went in here initially to look at engagement rings for my wife. I did not end up purchasing from Shane, but the service I received while browsing was worth mentioning. They were great at showing me rings within my budget while not being overly pushy to make a sale. They had a good range of low budget to high end items - definitely worth checking out.

Since we decided to be difficult and have an outdoor wedding, we had to rent everything from a floor to a tent and all of our plates, cups, tables, chairs, etc. This company had a large selection of everything we needed. They delivered the morning of and came back after the reception to pick everything up. They made having a wedding at an odd location much easier than we expected it to be.
