So originally I didn't even want to wear a veil at my wedding, but my mom really wanted me to. So I started looking for veils and everything I liked was super pricey. Which was not cool especially since I was planning on wearing the veil for 15-20 minutes! I then discovered Candi Merle through Project Wedding. OH MY GOODNESS, I stumbled onto the jackpot with her!

Candi is a dream. Not only did she respond to all of my emails promptly, she did so with lots of detail and information. I had the opportunity to make an appointment with her and actually meet her as I am in Southern California and the minute I met her, I knew I had picked a great person to make my veil. She has a fantastic bubbly personality and an impeccably organized workroom. She has TONS of sample veils for you to try on as well as embellishment options for you to look at. It was the most fabulous appointment ever. Candi takes you step by step and completely customizes your veil for you. First, you decide on the length/shape, then the embellishments. Candi LISTENS to you and really will create something for you that is spectacular and EXACTLY what you want.

The price is amazing. I got the veil I wanted for a FRACTION of what the bridal store was charging. I also had my veil shipped to me. It came in a long triangular prism shaped box, wrapped in tissue, with care instructions. It literally came out of the box in pristine condition. Her workmanship is excellent.

Ladies, let me tell you, I am a picky picky person and I could find no fault with working with Candi and getting a lovely veil from her. DO NOT HESITATE, contact Candi for your veil. You will NOT regret it!

Susie = AWESOME!

I had my engagement pictures done yesterday and chose to go to Susie for hair/makeup based on the great reviews on Project Wedding. Let me tell you, Susie delivered AND THEN SOME.

1. Pre-appointment - She was so helpful in giving me detailed information on how to prepare for the appointment. I never felt like I was "bugging" her with my millions of emails and she always responded PROMPTLY. I felt like I was a priority.
2. My appointment was at 1p and I got there early and she was already there and ready to go! Punctuality scores BIG POINTS in my book so that was great! Also, timeliness....we only had about 1.5 hours to do both hair/makeup and she did it ALL perfectly in the time alloted. If you have a schedule, Susie will make sure you're on track!
3. Susie was direct, honest, and asked great questions. I barely had to do anything but to sit back and enjoy my session! I really enjoyed how she talked about what she was using/doing before she did it. It really made me feel at easy and like I was in the hands of a professional (which she is!)
4. Personality - Okay, this is a subjective comment, but I think Susie has one of the best personalities EVER. I felt immediately comfortable with her as did my sister (who came along to keep me company). Susie is funny, sweet, and she really gets to know you and I felt like she was a good friend! We clicked instantly and I think this is super important when you have someone 3 inches from your face looking at all your pores. LOL.
5. Finally, my hair/makeup stayed during the ENTIRE session. I was so pleasantly surprised! I have a very oily T-zone so I was skeptical that I wouldn't become Sgt. Shiny Face halfway through my session. I was WRONG! My makeup remained pristine thoughout all 2.5 hours of shooting. I didn't even have to use the blotting papers Susie so kindly gave me! PLUS, we did our engagement session all over downtown LA...we were running arond everywhere and let me tell you, it was a work out! My hair was perfect the whole time and I love how Susie gave me incredible volume without too much poufiness. She's brilliant! I was so exhausted after the photo session, I fell asleep without washing my hair and TODAY my hair is still curly (and I normally have SUPER straight Asian hair)

Bottom line: Go to Susie if you want good value, a friendy professional, and someone who will exceed all expectations. I recommend her.....5 stars! :-)
