Great products but I wish they would make their site more modern and easy to use.

The cake came with my venue package and this one of the bakeries I had to choose from. Hands down, they make amazing cakes to eat and I tried Mayer's Bakery and Torrance Bakery first. Their velvety banana is incredible. Unfortunately, I thought (and they thought) they could design a couture cake (which I found on this site) but it was a big disappointment. My advice is stick to what they know or what you have seen they can do. I'm sure if I had picked a simpler design it would have been fine.

Ted was fantastic and easy to work with. He was even willing to learn new songs for our wedding cocktail hour. (I thought it'd be nice to have modern songs played on the harp, though our ceremony music was traditional). I wish I could say I heard all of these new songs but I was so busy during my cocktail hour I didn't have time to tune in closely! Regardless, he is so accommodating and charges a reasonable amount for his harp services!

I was so turned off by their lack of customer service here. They would say anything to get you finished and out the door because true, they are ridiculously busy! But we chose NOT to go with this vendor because they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for a custom designed cake. Let's see, I think they said $7 a person extra which was on top of the regular cost of the cake! They have decent cakes, but the service is lacking big time. Not worth the hassle.

I was very turned off by the pushiness/snootiness/rudeness of Mon Amie and thank my lucky stars I found Mary Me Bridal and Esther! They were able to get my Alvina Valenta dress and were the most helpful, sincere and honest ladies around! I can't say that I looked around too much because I already knew which dress I was getting, but they have great designers that they carry and their prices are not marked up like their competitors! Esther was also very helpful with me choosing which veil to go with my dress, etc. For a personal touch, you should definitely go there.

We did not have our wedding here, but all of our guests stayed here for our wedding in Rancho Palos Verdes. Tracy Brown was wonderful to work with, but I could not say the same for her counterpart, in charge of using the facilities, who made it a very difficult experience trying to coordinate a changing room. I felt as if that at every opportunity, they were trying to charge charge charge me. My guests loved the hotel, but I felt as the bride the most mistreated and unpampered. Beware of fees and be sure to read the contract. If it doesn't reflect what you are paying for, tell them. This vendor caused me the most stress prior to my wedding and on the actual wedding day.

These guys are worth every penny! We saw TC & Traffic Jamm at a friend's wedding and HAD TO have them for ours. We secured them about a year before our wedding. They learned a couple new songs for us and they really blow the crowd away!!! TC's Frank Sinatra is also to die for. :) I would recommend them for any event where you want the guests to dance all night long!

Although Michael Angelo has a DJ service, we used them exclusively for our lighting program. They did an amazing job and really helped "transform" our wedding venue. Their prices were reasonable as well. I only wish our gobo had turned out better. I'm not sure whether it's a result of the placement of the light or the design we had chosen, but otherwise these guys are great for lighting!

After failing to get one of the big named hair + makeup stylists and a bad hair trial with another person, I went with Tara. To be honest, I thought it was more important for my hair to be nice because I could always "fix" my makeup.

My sister's makeup was amazing and all she did was straighten her short Asian hair (why it cost as much as it did, I don't understand). My mom's updo was very cute. The three of us were kind of weirded out by how she did the lipstick. A little over the liplines. We weren't sure whether she was trying to give the effect of bigger lips.

I was "content" with my makeup and hair, I was a little jealous of my sister. :) Tara doesn't charge for travel, but she charged me for her waiting. I was a little taken aback by that but I paid it. [I had scheduled my day to know when exactly I was up to getting my hair and makeup done, she finished EARLY on my mom and sister].

Anyway, I personally think she should offer a refresher kit and eyelashes like others do. Her prices ended up being almost comparable to the others that are on the $$$$ side.

For anyone who couldn't stand any of those "other" party rental companies, this is your place for lounge furniture! Simple and easy and if you agree to let them give their cards at your reception, you get an additional discount. Can't beat their selection either. We had no problems with them at all. :) I'd use them again for a party...
