The owner Brandon is awesome! He was very accommodating when it came to finding a time and place to meet with us to talk about packages and pricing. He was able to provide lots of examples and references of his work for us. He put together an amazing photo montage for us just a week before the wedding. We didn’t even get to preview it. We saw it for the first time along with the rest of the wedding guests and it was perfect. Our wedding video turned out great as well.

Melissa has the ability and vision to take some gorgeous and original looking pictures. However, you must specify that you would also like to take some traditional wedding shots as well. She has an amazing portfolio and is very good at what she does, I just strongly suggest that you tell her more than once exactly what kind of shots you are looking for or you may miss out. Our wedding album is fantastic, but it did take about 10 months to get and lots of editing which wasn’t completely Melissa’s fault. She is a little bit quirky, but if you are patient and very clear about exactly what you want, I think you will be very happy hiring Melissa as your photographer.

Corey has years of experience and is really good at helping you get the look you want, whether you want natural, dramatic, romantic, etc. She is very easy to talk to and connect with, she will play with your makeup as much as you want, and will do whatever it takes to achieve the look you’re going for. She was willing to make the drive to Tahoe twice without additional charges and in very timely manner completed makeup application for myself, 5 bridesmaids, my sister, and my mother. I highly recommend Corey and her services.

Kim did an awesome job on my hair and it actually held all day. She gave me a free consultation and we played with all kinds of styles until we found the perfect look. She came all the way from Brentwood to my wedding in Tahoe without charging me anything extra. She is very quick and very good at what she does. She was able to do 5 bridesmaids, myself, my mom and my sister within a few hours and everyone’s hair looked different and fit their look/personality perfectly. I think anyone would be very happy with Kim services whether it’s for a wedding or just every day.

Sheila did a FANTASTIC job on all of floral bouquets. They turned out even better than I expected. She did everything I asked for and more. She was even able to accommodate some very last minute changes. She was reasonable priced, very communicative, and very helpful when I had no idea what I wanted my arrangements to look like. Sheila was easy to work with and I was very satisfied with the end result.

Anthony absolutely rocked as a DJ! He was by far the best wedding DJ I have ever seen. Wedding guests still tell me how enjoyable he was. He was a great master of ceremonies and kept the reception moving at the perfect pace. He had everyone out on the dance floor most the night and has the amazing ability to read the bride and groom and guests to make sure everyone is happy. I highly recommend him as a DJ. He has great communication skills and will do everything he can to ensure you are happy with his services.

We held both our ceremony and our reception here. In trying to lockdown a date, rehearsal time, menu, etc, they are not particularly helpful and can come off as a little snobby. However, on the big day, they did an excellent job. We were very happy with their efficiency and how smoothly the whole day went. The patio for the ceremony is small, but the view is breathtaking. The north room for the reception has huge windows that overlook the patio and water; the sunset views cannot be beat. This venue was not nearly as expensive as we had initially thought it might be and was worth every penny.

We met Joanna at a bridal show in Reno. She had a table full of great looking cakes and tasty truffles. She was just starting her business, but showed us some of her previous work, in addition to, making us a mini cake with two different flavor combinations we had been considering. Our wedding cake was very simple in design (ivory fondant with a delicate pearl design at the top of each layer) and thought Joanna would do a great job. The day of the wedding, she arrived 10 minutes before the ceremony started (she was supposed to be there an hour beforehand) and the cake looked AWFUL. I had provided her with an exact picture of what I had wanted and not only was the design not right, she used frosting dots instead of the edible pearls we had discussed on more than one occasion. The pink ribbon was awful looking(again, not something we had talked about) and rippled and you could see all the seams on the fondant. To top it all off, the cake was dry and bland. Very few people ate it and we ended up throwing three quarters of it away at the end of the night. I contacted Joanna and told her how unhappy I was and she apologized and said, “I was well aware when I delivered the cake that it was not up to par with what we had discussed.” She said that she had been sick (turns out she was pregnant) and had moved kitchens; therefore, she didn’t have her normal prep time. She did refund part of the money, but her lack of communication, poor quality, and the fact that she knew it was a less than par cake when she dropped off but still offered no refund or discount until I contacted her leads me to believe that she is not yet ready for the wedding business. I strongly recommend that you go else where for a cake.

There is a LARGE variety of dresses and colors to choose from. All dresses are very reasonably priced, compared to most places. It is great for those brides with bridesmaids in other cities or states because there seems to be a David’s Bridal everywhere. ALWAYS make an appointment first, as they are always very busy and not very accommodating for those who just walk in. Also, don’t expect your bridesmaids to be able to try on their dress in the appropriate style or color.

Very nice salon; however, there is not a huge selection of bridesmaid dresses to try on in the store. To find a bridesmaid dress, you have to spend a lot of time looking through catalogs. The owner wasn’t particularly warm or welcoming, but she does have some beautiful bridal gowns that are relatively reasonable. It’s worth checking out if you are interested in a more quality gown.
