Annelaine did a magnificent job with my pre-wedding nails! She came out to the wedding site and did my finger and toe nails, as well as the nails for some of my family/bridal party. She is really kind, professional, and patient. She consistently does great nail care, manicures, and pedicures. Her salon is very nice, clean, and she has very reasonable prices.

We really enjoyed working with AAA to make our Honeymoon plans. They presented us with many options, took great care to explain the details to us, and made sure everything was taken care of before we left on our trip. In addition, they were accessible via phone, and email, as well as in person visits during our planning and followed up with us after the trip.

David Richardson Photography did bridal portraits, wedding day pictures, and wedding video for us. Many of the pictures are very good, the video is a great keepsake, and they were relatively easy to work with, until we had questions and concerns after the wedding (their customer service was a bit lacking). They are fine photographers and videographers, but we would recommend, regardless of any assurance that they’ll take care of everything for you, that you provide them with a list of shots and items you want photographed (or on video), and assign someone you know to be with them during the events, so that person can point out additional groups of people to photograph/photos that might be good to take. They offer several different packages for weddings, and prices were reasonable.
My husband purchased both my engagement and wedding ring from Tiffany’s. They provided exceptional service to him, working with him on design, budget, etc. They guarantee their products, clean and shine the jewelry for free, and are wonderful to work with.

Perhaps my favorite part of getting wedding invitations from MyGatsby.com was the online review of the drafts. It was great to be able to see how our invitations and stationery would look – be able to make changes – and order them… all very quickly. MyGatsby.com has a great selection of papers, fonts, invitations, and stationery. They worked with us on our custom invitations – and the final product was unique and classy, just as we had hoped.

We had been well prepared for our trip to Mexico, thanks to AAA. Mexico was hit by a hurricane shortly before we went on our trip, and so we had been in touch with the resort to ensure everything was okay down there. They assured it was ok, and so we headed on down. Once we finally got there (flight to Cancun, bus ride to resort area… a little scary, but fine), we were welcomed with champagne. Our room was great – we really enjoyed it. It was clean, plenty spacious, and equipped with a mini-fridge of beer and soda. The resort offered a lot of activities, so if youre looking for group aerobics or craft time, you’ll find things like that here. We were more interested in the pools and restaurant and beach. The beach was a bit disappointing – very small, and when we went in the ocean, we found debris, a little proof a pier had once/recently been there and now was not… hmmmph. The selection of restaurants was perfect. The spa was exceptional. All in all, a fine all-inclusive resort. Just don’t drink the water, and look out for debris in the ocean and near the beach!

I worked with the Westin to book our main hotel block. The rate was reasonable – it was comparable with the other downtown hotels, and we really like the charm and history of the Westin Poinsett. The folks at the Westin were warm and professional – really fun and easy to work with. We were planning from out of town, but were able to go visit the hotel and really thought our out of town guests would enjoy staying there. Setting up the room block was not difficult. They do require a contract (not sure if it depends on the size of the block), but they also offer a free night for the bride and groom, which we took advantage of. The staff at the Westin worked with me to help me with my bridal portraits (taken there at the hotel), worked with me on the room block, and graciously thanked us post-event. We went to the hotel bar with friends after our rehearsal dinner and had a nice time – and we heard great reports from many of our friends who stayed at the hotel during our wedding weekend. I should also mention that they were SO great about distributing gift bags to our guests. It was a real pleasure to work with everyone at the Westin Poinsett, and we highly recommend them!
We ordered personalized Hershey’s Kisses for favors, and it worked out really well. Hershey’s offers a good many different options and packages, and you dress up the favors as much or as little as you want. We had a simple message printed, and put the kisses in bags/baskets for our guests. They arrived quickly and were fresh and tasty. They were really popular, and a truly easy favor for our guests.

Butch is an incredible DJ and he and his wife Joy did an incredible job for our wedding. We were able to work with them over the phone and via e-mail. We sent a list of music we liked, they asked questions, we worked out the important songs like the first dance, the father/daughter dance, etc, and everything else, they just took care of – like pro’s! Butch could read the crowd, kept everyone moving and dancing, took requests from the crowd, but kept our list and requests in mind, and everything went well. So many people danced the entire night at our reception – and so many people complimented us on the DJ, the music, the great celebration. Butch also did a great job announcing us, our first dance and our toast, but did not talk over the music at all. He let the tunes speak for themselves. We really can’t praise Butch & Joy Moore enough – they added a lot to our reception and we really appreciate it. Their fees were really reasonable, and they were very kind to us.

We held our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception at the Ryan Nicholas Inn. We checked the Inn out a couple of weeks after we were engaged, and were sure this was “the place” as soon as we saw it. We were blessed she had a date open within our timeframe! It is an amazing site, with room for up to about 250 people (standing/reception and combo of sitting/standing for wedding). The Inn itself is gorgeous – so much to offer. Kim owns and runs the Inn – she runs a tight ship and she is amazing. She has suggestions and ideas and opinions on most everything, because she’s seen most everything! She was incredibly kind to us, worked with us as we planned from out of town, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Kim has a draft plan for how a wedding at her Inn is run, which is really helpful if details aren’t your thing, but for me, details being my thing, she worked with me and we planned the perfect day. I would recommend the Inn for so many reasons – like the great location, ample parking, beautiful site. We had the rehearsal dinner at the Inn, as well, and the food was scrumptious – very tasty, and so many options (we had a lot of fun choosing the food!). Friends stayed over with me at the Inn (you should check out the bedrooms in the Inn), had breakfast --- again, perfection! --- and spent the day monitoring the wedding prep. Kim was everywhere on our wedding day (and wedding weekend), and pretty much everything went smoothly. On our wedding day, the ceremony was packed, and we had people sitting and standing to watch us be wed. The food at the reception was reportedly exceptional – we barely had time to eat as we visited and DANCED on the big dance floor. The big room that was the scene of the wedding ceremony quickly became the dance floor and the reception site. Kim and her team quickly transform everything – roll out food, move flowers and chairs, and make room for the guests to celebrate. Kim has some great options and packages for ceremonies, receptions, and wedding weekends. Definitely check out the Inn. It can be pricey, but she does have food options and other options that can help you stay within your budget. My husband and I look back on our wedding weekend with great fondness – and we definitely hope to visit the Ryan Nicholas Inn again!
