Rachel was a dream to work with. I have several friends who used her for party invitations and they were thrilled as well. She can accommodate any style, and will help you figure out what you want if you don’t already have a clear idea. The price was very reasonable, particularly considering we had a custom made program that was suited in every detail to what we wanted. Also, as I was a forgetful bride, I didn’t even contact her until a few weeks before the wedding. :) Everything was done perfectly and in plenty of time thanks to Rachel! Rachel delivered the programs to my house and made me special stationary with my new initials as a gift. My wedding program is one of my favorite wedding memories because it was so beautiful and so perfectly represented our wedding style. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for amazing invitations or programs!

I love Handi! The staff are so sweet and helpful and the food is amazing. It was perfect for an intimate, special occasion (rehearsal lunch). The food is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is elegant, but warm and inviting as well. They can accommodate a variety of sizes of parties. It is in a great location for out of town guests- plenty to do and walk to in downtown Greenville.

We used the DeSantis Pavilion for our wedding reception. It worked out perfectly. The staff at Furman was super helpful and the location was exactly what we wanted. It is easy to get to, but also very beautiful, situated with a view of the campus and the mountains. It is important to note that you have to use Furman’s catering service, Aramark, if you have your reception anywhere on Furman’s campus. You can bring in your own wine and beer selection for a reasonable fee. The food was good, but not great, and the staff took it away a bit earlier than we had hoped. There are easy to access restrooms (which is rare in outdoor reception sites) beautiful linens to choose from and overall the perfect setting for an outdoor reception. Also, it is a safe choice for outdoor weddings and receptions- the Younts Conference center is available in the event that it does rain.
Emerald Road is a local Irish band. They were a breeze to work with and provided a lovely, upbeat and peaceful atmosphere for our outdoor spring reception. They are all professional and kind, they dressed appropriately, came on time, and most importantly – they played incredible music! They had plenty of their own music, but also took our requests. They were one of the best parts of our wedding day and it took almost no effort on our part for them to be a part of the day. The perfect combo!

The team at Getz Creative are incredible! They are fun and easy to work with but are also informed, professional and ready to work. They customize their photography to your personality and wedding. If you are looking for the everyday, traditional photograph- they are not for you! If you like their style, then you are guaranteed to be happy with your Engagement/wedding photos. Everyone that looked at our wedding album was astounded and said it was the best they had ever seen. Instead of getting 200 of basically the same picture from your wedding- they provide you with unique pictures that represent and beautify your day in magazine quality shots.

Men’s Wearhouse is a great option, particularly if you have groomsmen in various cities. All you have to do is tell your groomsmen to go to the location closest to them, get measured and its done! They can be returned to the most convenient location, they have a good variety and their suits/tuxes look great. Since it is a chain, your service will vary depending on the staff that is working that day. Some are more knowledgeable and helpful than others. The only other down side is that they don’t have all the tux styles in the store, so it can be hard to tell the small differences just by looking at their order books/magazines.

Shantel is fabulous! She is an absolutely delightful person and incredibly talented and professional. I am very picky about my makeup. At my request, she did two trial runs with me and made sure I was completely happy with my wedding day look. I also have a lot of skin sensitivities. She carries a variety of skin care/makeup lines, so I was able to have a look that was completely customized to my needs and desires. It was SO much better than having to “fit” within one makeup line and worry about breaking out from using new products. I loved having her around and I was thrilled with the results. I recommend her whole-heartedly!

Handpicked is a great place to get jewelry and accessories. They have everything from classic pearls to bright, funky jewelry. I found the perfect pair of earrings that were unique, delicate and beautiful, and great gift earrings for my bridesmaids as well. The staff is helpful and they can order from their other stores in SC if you need that. The jewelry is very reasonably priced, so you can find something special for yourself or your friends without having to sacrifice style!

Diamond Jewelers is a small, locally owned store in Spartanburg. It is an older style store, and the advertising doesn’t make it look comparable to Hales, Cochrans or other stores in Greenville, but we are really glad we went. The owners are great, the pricing is very reasonable and they have a great selection. We found really unique pieces for my engagement and wedding rings. We had looked at so many places and decided to make one last trip to this store. We found exactly what we wanted right away! Their service is fantastic for follow up sizing and cleaning as well.

I absolutely love my invitations, but if I had it to do over, I would use another online store. Using an online boutique like Wedding Paper Divas is great because you have an enormous selection, it is searchable and less expensive than smaller, in town boutiques. My invitations turned out great, but we had problems with the envelopes and the customer service. The envelopes wouldn’t “stick” with the normal lick or with an evelope sealer and my mom had to glue each one! We called more than once and never got any response from Wedding Paper Divas. For this reason, I don’t recommend them. Vendors need to help the process- not make it more stressful.
