I usually go here in the wintertime so that I don’t lose my tan completely. It’s a great tanning salon, they are extremely professional and the staff is great at making sure that the beds and tanning rooms are always cleaned. I was getting married in Hawaii in October, and I had already lost most of my summer tan. My husband and I both went tanning for two weeks before the wedding. I liked the fact that the manager let us share our pass so that we could share the number of tanning sessions. Since it is spring I have started going again and, as always, I love the great customer service and how clean the place is. I always recommend Earthtone to my friends because it’s so nice.

This is a great Italian restaurant, and I think it’s famous in the Indianapolis area for being a great place for a first date. The restaurant is in this old house, and they have a great patio out back that you can sit in. The menu tastes like what I suppose real Italian food tastes like. We arranged for our rehearsal dinner to be here for all our friends and family members that would not be coming with us to our destination wedding. It was rather hard making such a large group reservation, mainly because they are busy on Friday nights. We finally settled for a Wednesday night, and it was perfect. The menu is great, most people can expect to pay between $15-20 per person, they have a great wine menu, and they also have a really nice bar. Most of us went over to the bar afterwards for a few more drinks. I recommend this place for a date, because that’s mostly what you’ll see in the rest of the customers.

My husband found the most perfect suit at Banana Republic. I think he is lucky and his frame is perfect for the clothing there, and the clothes are of such good quality that it lasts for several years. He has bought lots of shirts and pants from the Banana Republic store, it’s his ‘safe store’. He considered renting a tuxedo, but it was complicated and we were worried about forgetting the suit in Hawaii. He finally decided that he wanted a more causal look. He went and found a really nice light color jacket, and also got a pair of nice pants. He looked so cool on our wedding day! No one else was wearing a suit, and his casual suit was perfect considering that neither of us were wearing shoes!

My husband originally proposed to me with his college graduate ring, but then we decided that it would be okay for me to have a regular ring. He brought me to Kays Jewelers to look at some rings that he thought I might like: I wasn’t really impressed with the selection at Kays. We then went to Khamis and I fell in love with the idea of getting a pearl wedding enegament ring rather than a diamond. They have an excellent selection of pearl rings from the company ABSA, with rings that are made from Tahitian & South Sea
Cultured Pearls. I loved my ring: in the end it looked like a regular wedding set, only with pearls instead of diamonds. I love that it’s unique, and that it reminds me of our beach wedding.

Because we were having a small destination wedding, the invitations that we made were going to be for our close relatives and friends. Most people who would be coming did not need a card, but I thought it would be nice to mail some sort of card out. I love WestWood Papers. The thing that’s nice about the store is the selection: you can have mass-produced invitations in the 200s, or you can buy smaller invitation sets. I only needed 50 invitations, and I was able to find the cards that would be perfect in style and in number. The woman working there knew right away what type of card style I wanted, and found me the perfect set of teal colored cards with a ocean feel to them. I recommend them because they are insightful and they also gave great suggestions.

This was the beautiful resort that our families and close friends stayed at. We were a party of 18 people in total, plus two kids, and we booked our rooms as a group and got a really good deal. Because we were having a destination wedding, our main objective was to have all the family there and close friends. Each room was perfect; we were placed closed to one another, so we were able to check the rooms out. Our rooms were cleaned every day, and if we ran out of towels or anything we just had to call up the front desk and they sent them up quickly. The whole outside was beautiful, and we have so many good pictures from our week there.

I was looking for something for all our guests that joined us in Hawaii. I had the thought of getting everyone something while we were there, but then I thought about the time and decided that I needed to have something with me. I looked on esty, because it’s a great online community to buy jewelry that is locally made. I found a great artist in Hawaii, and I contacted the seller right away letting her know that I loved her stuff and that I wanted something unique for our Maui wedding. She made me something similar to another item on her store front, a lovely letter press Hawaii prayer card with a beautiful pendant wrapped around it. It was unique and original, and I thought it was very well-made and delivered on time and in excellent quality. I think it was simple but beautiful, and it was the perfect memory for all of our guests.

I absolutely recommend this place! My mother found out about “Aunt Ruthie’s” from a co-worker who held her 6-year-old daughter’s birthday party here. I didn’t know what to expect, and it exceeded all my expectations. We followed my mother’s rules and made this an all-girl’s event, and we all got dressed up in pretty summer dresses. It was perfect! I felt like such a special girl, everything about the place made me feel special! The teatime was fun, and there was also a good buffet with real food. My favorite part would have to be the cake, which was two-tiers. It was decorated with flowers and little umbrellas. I think it’s the nicest party anyone has ever thrown for me. It was very well planned, and the whole tea party operated like a smooth ship. And I actually loved having a Bridal Shower, so I recommend to brides to not skip this step.

Initially I wasn’t going to get a ‘real’ wedding dress. Because we were getting married in Hawaii, I toyed with the idea of getting married in a hula skirt or even in a bathing suit. But as more of my friends got engaged and went wedding dress shopping, I realized that this was not something that I wanted to miss out on. Wedding dress shopping is the most fun thing to do in the world! I checked out a few bridal stores with my friends, but I went to Demetrios by myself. I had a great salesgirl helping me, and I tried on a really expensive gown that I just loved. I thought that it was crazy to spend so much on a dress that I would just wear once, but I really thought the dress was perfect. The store is great, it is one of the best in the Indianapolis area.

I’m giving this whole night of my life 4 stars because I was made to go on an official bachelorette party with a veil on my head and an ugly t-shirt. It would have been fine if we would have gone to only ugly bars, but we spent most of the night in my favorite bar, Nicky Blaine’s. It’s a great lounge, I think it’s really cool and trendy, something that you don’t see much of in Indianapolis, and it’s the perfect place to get all dressed up and have a night out with the girls. Unfortunately I was wearing that ugly t-shirt. Fortunately the staff was really nice about it, and we had a great time ordering all the martinis to try off the menu. It also a convienent location for people to just stop in for a drink or two, and many of my friends and co-workers did stop by for a drink. I really like the place, and I like going there a bit dressed up, and I recommend it as a fun martini bar.
