I purchased hand made Saree's for my bridesmaids at a local Indian clothing store. The saree's were all unique, however we had fabric colour, and jewellery coordinate so there was some consistancy. All the sarees were custom fit in store and altered within the week. They were silk and very inexpensive. This was great fun and great buy for weddings on a budget with indian themes.

I purchased all fake nail, hair products (curling iron, volumizers, etc) and makeup from shoppers drug mart and did all the grooming myself.
It's a bit of maintenance but I preferred the casual preparation over running to a hair salon, then driving to the makeup artist then going to get your french manicure all on wedding timeline on the day of.
Shoppers has everything you need, even if you want to supply your own makeup for the makeup artist. Great store.

my wedding officiant was included in the price of certificate and rental of a chapel. I was very pleased with the professionalism and resourcefulness of my officiant. She helped with vows and looked great on our wedding day. Very pleased with the city of mississauga.!!

I hosted my wedding party at my house. The actual wedding was done at a civic center, but the party for all the guests was done as a late day patio party that required my yard to look amazing. I invested alot of time and effort into preparing the yard for alot of guest's dancing and photography. Humber nurseries has everything!! everything related to gardens, landscaping, everthing 42 acres of garden supplies, huge perrenial, annual, tropical, herb, rose greenhouses. trees/shrubs mature and not. Their selection is soo fantastic and they take the best care of their plants so you know you are buying quality. If you are doing your wedding yourself, I would suggest very much in investing in the environment, make sure grass is green and thick, your gardens are manicured, everything is healthy and you purchase plants that are going to be in bloom during your wedding. Going to a nursery and having fresh live gardens will cost less than having cut flower arrangements.

I love Aldo shoes and when I found Aldo accessories I was so pleased, because they have a great selection of inexpensive jewelery, hair accessories, and handbags so you can really invent a terrific look for your wedding at a very low cost. I purchased these really great faux diamond earrings, necklace, rings, and hair accessories all a week before my wedding and they looked authentic in natural and florescent light, so I was very pleased with Aldo stores in general. I also purchased my little white wedding sandals from Aldo shoes, so I love everything about this store.

I went to a local restaurant where I had eaten and been incredible impressed with the entire environment, and the quality of food that you get for the money. I purchased 250.00 worth of food for my entire guest list including desserts. The food was ready on time and tasted and looked fantastic. I had an indian themed wedding so food that was less threatening that all my guests would enjoy was a must. I kept most of the food neutral with rices and naans and very subtle spices, however India has a great variety of colourful and exotic desserts so I played with the dessert menu quite a bit. Going to a local restaurant was great and convenient and I had a small guest list so my catering costs were low. So this is great for weddings on budgets, or with very small guests lists.

Oriental trading is a decoration website. They are fantastic for garlands, tulle, round paper lanterns for asian inspired weddings or outdoor weddings.
I purchased these really great tissue paper balls that I saw on the martha stewart show. I hung them over my tables with assorted paper lanterns and it had a great impact visually. It was a great way to incorporate wedding colours and creates a far more playful and eclectic environment then the standard predictable wedding.

My husband and I set a casual dress code for our wedding, so the cost of clothing ourselves went down drastically from possible thousands to hundreds I purchased a beautiful white t-length sundress with delicate embroidery from RW+CO that cost 90.00 and my husband purchased lovely linen pants and a soft purple dress shirt with a silk tie for under 120.00. This is perfect for summer weddings on a budget, that are patio, backyard weddings that don't have to be ridiculously extravagant. RW + CO also has many more items that are higher on the price range so if you don't have a strict budget and you would like to dress to the nines there are many options.

I did a wedding on a budget and did not want the cost of floral arrangements on my tab. So I opted out of flowers and instead went to ebay.ca and purchased some really beautiful white Moroccan lanterns for the centerpieces. The great thing about the lanterns was after the wedding they are great gifts for a few lucky guests if you do table draws of have wedding games, and if your wedding is outdoors or in the evening having the lit lanterns is incredibly beautiful. Ebay has a great selection of lanterns that have been purchased for weddings and resold, and just general overstock of the items.
They are cheaper than flowers and a very unique wedding touch. you can always get flower petals if you really want to keep the flower theme and use the petals around the base of the lantern, looks lovely.

Beau-coup favours has the widest selection of none tacky wedding favours. I opted out of a traditional wedding cake and in its place purchased these really great wedding cake cookies that can be customized with wedding theme colours, designs, and your choice of text. They come in two sizes one that is approximately 2x3 inches and one quite a bit larger. The favours are edible and they look so great there is no way to be disappointed. The site is incredibly professional they have everything and more than what you need and they ship the order next day so you receive it even on a very short timeline. I also purchased more edible favours from the site for other occassions because they do most of the significant events in ones life with a variety of very artistic fantastic touches. They also have great finds for small budget weddings, however if you are looking for quality items and can afford to go $15.00+per guest favours they have great selection of extravagant items for a larger budget.
