This is a great place to get bridesmaids dresses for a formal black/white wedding. They have great sales every few months where everything goes for 50-70% off. The best time to go is after the holiday season, when all the holiday dresses are on sale. I bought a really cute strapless knee-length dress for $50, when it was originally $150. Nice!

This is also a great place to get an inexpensive wedding dress!

Designer wedding shoes! Hey, why not? If you get silver shoes you can definitely wear them again! Watch out to Stuart Weitzman shoes at local department stores or on bluefly. Sometimes they got on sale... I tried a beautiful pair of sparkly heels ... and I mean the crystals were everywhere, even in the heel itself! It was on sale for $250 off... and the sale price was $250. My mother in law was there and her chin almost fell to the floor! I can't afford these things, but it's my big day so why not try it on? ;)

The person was really rude over the phone. I called and asked about pricing and photographs and she pretty much yelled "no we do not" and then hung up the phone. Huh? I just asked two questions.

I tried on a bunch of dresses here since Jessica McClintock is very affordable. They were not very comfortable and many were very heavy and difficult to move in. The fit was completely wrong, but maybe it's just my body type.

One thing I didn't really like is their wedding dress is pretty much a normal jessica mcclintock dress but in white and more expensive. Also, I was surrounded by teenage girls trying on the same dress for prom. =P

I came here expecting a David's Bridal-like experience, but to my amazement the people there were quite nice and the selection was awesome. I looked through tons of dresses on the rack and the salespeople never pushed or hurried me one bit. You have to really inspect the dresses because some are damaged and need a bit of work.

This is a discount store so you're not going to get people fawning over you. But hey, you're saving quite a bit of money! I found 3 dresses that I loved here.

By reputuation, she is known as one of the best for alterations in the bay area, and also for her very sweet and calm personality. She also does custom dresses too.

Buying from Netbride will save you a ton of money. This is what you do: Go to another store (like Trudy's or something) and remember the dress designer and number, and then call up Netbride and ask for a quote.

You get what you pay for, that's all I can say. The two good things about David's Bridal is that they carry many different sizes so you don't have to "imagine" what the dress will look like, and they allow pictures.

*VERY* busy on the weekends and on weeknights! The dressing room is basically a tiny box with a curtain. They carry pretty expensive dresses here, and schedule everyone back to back and kick you out right when the next girl gets there.
