All of the brides I have ever talked to said that their one main regret about their wedding day was that they didn't hire a day-of coordinator for their reception. I took this advice to heart and began searching for someone competent and reasonable, price-wise. The coordinator of the Patina Group at the Bowers Museum, Santa Ana (where we had our wedding reception) referred me to Melinda. From the first email, I felt like she was on the ball - she called me within 15 minutes to start discussing plans and details.
Melinda and her assistant Cama met with me twice to make sure that I had everything I needed, in addition to the inevitable (almost) daily emails. She contacted all of our vendors in advance to make sure that everyone was on the same page, and put together a time line for us so everyone could be sure to know what was going to happen ahead of time. Throughout this, she was open to suggestions from my husband or I and was also quick to provide her suggestions based on her experience if she felt something was off.
For the day of our wedding, Melinda was not able to be there in person for our reception. Her assistant Cama stepped in and handled everything perfectly. She supervised everything and everyone - and kept my husband and I on task without being pushy or overbearing. She was very efficient and nice and we were so thankful she was there.
I would highly recommend Melinda's company for couples looking to relax on their wedding day and not feel worried about vendors, time lines or problems. Everything turned out perfect!
