Truly Yours is truly an amazing caterer! I cannot believe how affordable their prices were and the food...HOLY COW!...it is so good. My husband and I are still talking about it. All I have to say is Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. They were so professional to work with. I was a little worried since they had never done a wedding at my location but they knew exactly what they were doing. My coordinator also had wonderful things to say about them. And as an added bonus, Roxy is giving us a CD of pics that her staff took on our wedding day, I thought that was really nice! I hope to be able to have another event I can hire them to cater again someday!

I love Cakery Bakery! We had cupcakes for our wedding, Cakery Bakery even decorated them just like I wanted! They were so nice and the cupcake tier with the little cake on top turned out perfect. This also happened to be the best price we found on our endless cupcake search. I was very happy with how beautiful it turned out and the cake tasted AMAZING too!

Rabbi Barry just officiated our wedding over Labor Day Weekend. My husband is Jewish and I am not, however neither one of us is religious. Rabbi Barry understood this and really made our ceremony about us and not religious traditions. Our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and I really think it was because Rabbi Barry explained the significance of everything and really made the ceremony personal to us. I always thought I would be married by a justice of the peace due to my lack of religious affiliation, so I had reservations about being married by a Rabbi. I think Rabbi Barry took this into consideration and he made sure the ceremony represented myself as well as my husband. I was so happy with our choice and it really was a beautiful ceremony.

I went to Reene for my wedding dress alterations and she was amazing! She also ended up custom making my veil. This is the place to go if you want personal service, I went to her starting 2 months out and a total of 3 fittings. She was so nice and accomodating every time. My bridesmaid also used her for alterations and she agreed that Reene makes your dress look like it was custom made for you!

I just had my wedding over Labor Day Weekend at Ambassador Campus and it was fantastic! I booked the site back in December when nobody really new about it. Sylvia is the coordinator there and she is really nice and helpful. The major pluses for us were:

You can choose EVERYTHING yourself - this means you can really budget by bringing in your own caterers, alcohol, as well as have the freedom to decorate how you like!

Beautiful landscaping mixed with elaborate Mediteranean mansions and architecture - our photos turned out amazing! and we had access to the entire grounds, not just the garden we rented for the ceremony and reception.

Unique venue - our guests loved wandering around the gardens and seeing the historical trees and buildings.

Plenty of free parking - no valet needed!

Historical building for getting ready - my getting ready pictures and "bride leaving the house" pictures are incredible! We are talking chandeliers, spiral staircases, balconys...

There are a few rules, first you have to obtain a fire permit for $250 and I suggest going to meet with the fire dept early in your planning so you know which candles are to code. Also it is Pasadena and so the music has to be off at 11pm. Pasadena is a pretty safe neighborhood so cops have nothing better to do if you are breaking the law. But we kept the music under 65 decibles and turned it off at 11pm and trust me we had lots of music and dancing! It was great.

All in all my dream for an outdoor wedding came true at this venue! I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I am so excited to be the first review posted for Embrace Life! I just had my wedding over Labor Day Weekend and hired Adam George as my photographer. Adam was actually the first vender my husband and I hired back in January, even before we officially put our deposit down on the site! A friend had recently gotten married and soon after I was engaged I saw her photos. They blew my husband and I away and immediately we had a gut feeling that we wanted to hire Adam. When we met with him at our first meeting he was very professional, warm, easy to talk to and just all around awesome! However, the cost was a concern so we looked around at a couple other choices. There are lots of photographers out there in all different price ranges, but we did not interview a single one that even compared to Adam's talent, and how well he fit our personalities and photography style. Photography was the most important thing to us so we decided that we just could not pass Adam up!

Our wedding turned out amazing! We had so much fun, and Adam and his associate, Sterling, helped contribute to our really fun day! When you are picking your photographer, keep in mind that they will be following you around for 8-10 hours that day. You want someone who you are comfortable with, can joke with, and who will blend in with your party. Adam and Sterling were just that. They moved quickly and took so many exposures I can't even tell you! They blended in with the party but also seemed to be everywhere they needed to be! They have a knack for anticipating moments and being there to shoot them. Adam's journalistic style was exactly what we had in mind to tell our wedding story.

We just got a first look at all the images from our wedding yesterday and we are so happy! We got exactly what we wanted and enjoyed every second of it. I can't even tell you how professional and high quality these pictures are. I can't wait for Adam to design our album! I highly recommend Embrace Life if you want to have beautiful pictures to remember your special day!

I don't know how to put it in words how glad I am that I hired Carina for my wedding DOC!!! I believe that she is the reason I was so calm and relaxed on my actual wedding day and I just could not have picked a better person to put all my plans together at the end like she did.

I took on a huge project when I decided to plan our wedding myself, while working full time. I made all the invitations, menues, programs, etc...you name it, I tried to do it myself. I had a lot of fun until about a month before I started to panic because I couldn't see how it was going to all come together. But as soon as I started having my meetings with Carina I just felt so comfortable that she would get it taken care of. Carina is professional, calm, responsible, totally efficient and able to multi task but still be caring and make sure that my husband and I were happy and doing ok the whole night. I have absolutely no complaints about her and the whole reception and ceremony looked just how I'd pictured it in my head. She took extreem care to place the items I had put so much effort into making on display and did not forget one detail. She even came over and sat with me for a few minutes at the end of the night while I took a breather from dancing. Also at our meetings she was so easy to talk to and she always seemed to have infinite time for me despite the fact that she has many other clients to deal with all at the same time! She is just awesome.

I met with other coordinators but I clicked with Carina instantly and she was someone I could see being friends with and someone I would want to have at my wedding. I recommended her to a close family friend that is getting married in a couple weeks. Her wedding will be much larger than mine with a lot more going on but she has also been happy with Carina and I'm sure that Carina will pull it all together just as beautifully.

I LOVE LINDA!!! Linda was such a pleasure to work with. She was so sweet and calming. At our final meeting a few days before the wedding I was a little stressed and she was just so reasuring that everything was going to be wonderful...it really made me feel better that she cared.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the flowers for my wedding. We had Linda do all the personal flowers, decorative flowers for our huppah, and petals for the aisles. She was very professional and delivered the personal flowers early for our photos and then didn't come deocrate the ceremony until right before (which is what we requested due to the heat outdoors in the afternoon sun). Everything looked amazing and when I was about to walk down the aisle and saw the huppah I got choked up. It just looked so professional even though we had made the structure ourselves the flowers just set it off.

I managed to bring all the flowers home with me and I am still enjoying all of them in my home. :) I gave her creative control, I just asked for a few different kinds of flowers and told her my color scheme and she made a masterpiece! Thank you so much Linda for helping to make my wedding day so special!

Tom Chandler just DJ'd our wedding this past Sunday and he was amazing! My husband and I have gone to many weddings in the past few years and just were not happy with the DJ's at them or the song lists, so we took it upon ourselves to make an extensive song list for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing and Tom was so easy to work with. He respected our choices and even showed enthusiasum for our taste! We basically just told him this is what we like and left it up to him to make a playlist and round out the music with suggestions for the night. We got so many comments about the music from our guests and they loved the variety. In fact our photographer said to me at one point in the evening "the music is uncommonly tasteful".

In addition to good music, Tom was not cheesy, he did not scream into the mic and say anything unessary just to fill dead silence. He was respectful when guests asked that the dinner music be turned down and he understood that the site (which was outdoors) had recently had sound complaints so he positioned the speakers to keep the sound at our party and not reverberating to the neighbors houses.

We were worried about the timing for the entrances and our 1st dance but he listened to how they were going to go and waited for the cues that we had instructed him on and it went off without a hitch!

Tom is clearly a professional and I would recommend him for all brides who do not want your typical cheesy loud DJ.

I just had my trial session with Susie the other day and I am very happy with the results and the experience. Susie was such a pleasure to work with, she let me ask all my crazy questions and she worked with what I wanted. Lots of times with hair and makeup I feel like you don't get to give your input and you end up with something you don't want. Susie was exactly the opposite, she wanted me to really enjoy the end result and to have it be exactly what I wanted. She also seems very relaxed and like she can deal with stressful situations (and people..haha!) very well. Her prices are very reasonable without sacrificing any quality.

I will be using her on my wedding day so I will write another review after that! I'm looking forward to her helping me make it a really special day!

I just had my wedding this past Sunday and I can't say it enough...I LOVE SUSIE!!! She was one of my favorite venders. She was so calm and relaxed and tried to keep me that way too. She arrived early and she and her assistant were very professional. She even was able to accomodate an add on service the day of. I loved my hair and makeup, I didn't have any problems with it coming off or messing up. It was very HOT for the outdoor ceremony but I think it still stayed amazing (or maybe I was having too much fun to notice :) ) But I would reccomend Susie over and over again.

Additionally Susie did hair and makeup for the Moms, my sister and one bridesmaid. Both my sister and bridesmaids LOVED the way everything came out which is saying a lot because they they are definitely in the category of girls that never are happy with bridesmaid hair and makeup. I was happy that Susie was able to please them and I thought they looked amazing!!

I hope I have another opportunity to use her services again in the future. There is absolutely no need to spend more money elsewhere...SUSIE IS AWESOME!!
