THE SKINNY:

Gloria is AWESOME! She is truly a pleasure to work with. Her demeanor adds a bit of calmness to the chaos that is all things wedding. Gloria manages to be laid-back and easy going without sacrificing one bit of professionalism. Her work is fantastic. Her turn around time is amazing. She is one of the coolest photographers you will meet. She is one the coolest PEOPLE you will meet.

MORE THAN THE SKINNY:

I recently planned a wedding for my friends. They told me that they just wanted to show up at an awesome party (theirs) and get married. So I planned and coordinated almost EVERYTHING. I am not a professional wedding planner, so in the beginning, I didn't have many resources.
Hiring a photographer was daunting, because the cost of wedding photography seems to be enormous and we were working with a really tight budget. Add to that the fact that I work in the Photo industry, and a big part of my job is identifying good photography using a slightly more trained eye. So I was ULTRA picky about who to present to my friends as an option. Working in the industry means that I have a ton of photographers at my disposal, HOWEVER, all of my photog buddies were charging up the wazoo and didn't fit my friends' budget.

I found Gloria after about 3 weeks of hunting. Her work and style easily fit in with that of the photographers that I liked that were charging a ton of money. In other words, we were getting a great deal without sacrificing any bit of quality.

First impression when I met her: 'Wow! This lady is REALLY cool."

They were even more confident in our choice to work with Gloria after their engagement session. Apparently, they had a blast that day! Gloria shot them in their loft, photographing them, their home and their dogs beautifully. Then she found a really cool location near their house and got some amazing shots of them "playing" there. About a week after their session, she sent them a DVD of edited photos, which we played on a large flat screen HDTV at the wedding during the cocktail hour. Their guests loved it!
On the wedding day, I was frazzled and crazed thanks to good ol' Murphy's Law. The ONE aspect of the wedding that I never had to triage, extinguish or modify was the photography. Gloria and Josh (our second shooter) were completely self contained and professional. I never had to find them, because they were ever present (without being intrusive) and I didn't have to give them any instruction. In fact, I gave Gloria a sorry excuse of a shot list, and she did way better on her own capturing everything from emotions to the actual little elemental details like the table numbers. She even convinced a group of middle aged guys in Speedos to take a picture with the bride! Hilarious! Together Gloria and Josh caught so many great moments, and did a beautiful job.

In conclusion, GLORIA ROCKS!
