If I could give them a 0 (zero) I would. Going with this vendor was the worst decision. They started off our day with the limousine not showing up at my parents house to take us to the church, stating they did not anticipate traffic. We also hired them to transport our guest around town from the hotel to church, church to reception, and back to hotel at the end of the evening. The shuttles showed up on time and took everyone where they needed to be. The problem I had with them is one of their shuttle drivers took it upon himself to become a guest at the wedding. He was photographed dancing, he made inappropriate comments to guests, he was asking for food and drinks, and to make it extra special he asked my husband for his tip – which was included in the service. My husband and I ended up taking the shuttle back to the hotel with our guest and I witnesses him passing a tip cup around for our guests. At the time I was prepared to address the situation in fear of causing a scene. My 100% dissatisfaction begins with when I called the company the next day to report what had happened. After several phone calls over the following week I could not get anyone to call me back and the finally was told that they were not going to do anything to compensate me for my experience and they didn’t believe anything I was telling them about how their employee was behaving. I told them that I was going to post a full review of my experience on theknot.com and they didn’t seem to care. Not even 24 hours after that conversation and me posting on theknot.com I started receiving phone calls from the director of Human Resources asking me to “stop beating a dead horse”. I asked why they had a change of heart and they said that another employee confirmed my story and the employee had since been terminated.

Frank came highly recommended and after meeting and seeing several portfolios we decided that going with him was the right decision. We had seen many friends choose poor photographers which made this a priority for us. Frank was very professional but very expensive. He did show up with two assistants which made it difficult to miss any shot. We were thrilled with the pictures. The only reason he gets a 4 is because of the price and we felt like we were getting “nickeled and dimed” after the wedding. We had a choice of purchasing rights to our pictures immediately for a 1K + fee or waiting a year and paying 250. We opted for waiting a year but really thought that it was a bit much considering what we already paid.

My husband and I started looking for tuxedos at After Hours in Towson, MD and felt as though we were bothering their staff by walking in the door. I started looking online for more resources and found Tuxedo House and after reading their online reviews, I knew this place was for us. The staff is very knowledgeable of the styles and trends and the best part is they have all of their inventory at the location. This was helpful on the day of when our out of town guests came in to pick up their tuxedos and some minor adjustments in sizing needed to be made. We worked with Austin and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I had been going to my stylist for 9 years who had been with Emidio Vincenzo Escape since their opening. When I told Monica (my stylist) that I wanted to have them do our hair on the day of she had already had plans personally and opted to change her plans. They were accommodating, professional, and provided a great start to a wonderful day. I would highly recommend this salon for day of services.

Guest Lodging: This hotel was the most convenient for our guests to stay at and the price was hard to beat. We had a room block set up well in advance and were constantly contacted by our guests because the hotel kept saying they had no record of our block. The shuttle driver was supposed to help out with returning the guests to the hotel after the reception and didn’t show. My last complaint was our room was to be complimentary since our room block met the quota to receive the room and I had to call about 10 times in order to get the refund.

I had higher expectations from this vendor. The consultation went very well and we were very pleased that everything was within our budget. We decided not to continue shopping around since Homestead Gardens has a well respected reputation and that my mother is a dedicated customer. Going forward the experience was so-so. Getting the contact there on the phone was difficult. The day-of, everything was delivered on time at all three locations. The flowers were very pretty and what we asked for, except the bouquets were much smaller than I had anticipated.

I found DJ Billy Zee through a recommendation of another DJ that I had contacted and who was booked for our date. I never actually met Billy, but after a few conversations of what we were looking for we made the decision that he would be a great fit. Shortly before the wedding we communicated via email and phone to work on the music for the evening and Billy was very detail oriented and brought several things to my attention that I had not thought of, and was very happy he did. Billy also let me provide him a list of songs that I wanted played at each part of the reception, as well as a do not play list that he abided by. He was great and has DJ’d a few weddings of my friends since.

Glenn is the organist for the church we were married at and was great to work with. We scheduled an appointment with him about a month before the wedding and brought a list of music we wanted to hear him play and listened to his suggestions as well. After about an hour, we came up with the perfect mix of music that everyone was happy with.

My husband and I decided to go with cupcakes after a few cake tastings that didn’t wow us and mostly because we weren’t big cake eaters. The Baltimore Cupcake Company came highly recommended by many and we decided to visit their store for a tasting. They were delicious and decided to go with them. I am rating them as a 4 because they had to cancel our tasting the first time due to a schedule conflict and just before the wedding it seemed like they were having delivery schedule issues. In the end, the cupcakes were at the reception location on time and were delicious.

It took me a while to find the bridesmaid dresses that would compliment the different body shapes, while sticking to a budget for my girls. I found the dress at Jcrew.com an early Saturday morning during a sale, and knew I had to act fast with the price being offered. I wasn’t able to get all the sizes I needed immediately, but after contacting their wedding department, they offered to put my name on a list with the dress, color, and sizes that I was looking for and were very diligent in finding the last two dresses with plenty of time for alterations. I couldn’t recommend them enough if you like their style.
