Went to one of their roundtables where they give you a tour and a free lunch (had the same as Margaret - chicken and salmon). The food was very delicious, the catering manager who showed us around was nice, and it was such a beautiful and clear day that the harbor just glistened. And there was a wedding reception going on for about 320 people, so I was able to get a good idea of how the Pavilion would be set up. It's still a big contender on my list, but I'm not sure about the parking (paid lots and valet only). With validation for 2 hrs it was about $5. They seem to get lots of interest in renting out their rooms for non-wedding related events, and the catering dept. has weekly meetings to go over all the logistics for weekly events, so they've got things down packed.

5 stars for Kristina Tobin! While I just met her to check out the venue, she was super super sweet and very accommodating. I think because it's a smaller and modest hotel (right across the street from Stanford), they are more flexible and willing to change menus if you want. FYI - they are going to renovate their ballroom around summer '08.

I decided to try them out and got a book made for a valentine's day present. I have to say that the software was easy to use, pages came out fine (although I thought it would be on thicker paper), and overall it looks good. My parents were impressed and I would use them again, but there aren't as many design and layout options as there are in shutterfly.

I attended a wedding reception here and I thought it was very nice - the food was delicious and the room was gorgeous (it felt very open with the 2 story ceilings). The only complaint would be that it felt a bit cramped, but otherwise I enjoyed myself.

Great work, but pricey. And I had problems with their eyelash adhesive (it really irritated my contacts, thus forcing me to take them out right before the ceremony and I was semi-blind the whole day). Even though I got her assistants to work on me (although to save time Taylor Pham did my hair, which i loved), they did an outstanding job. Margaret looked really good! =)

I don't know much on the planning side, but can I tell you that attending a wedding in the atrium is such a treat? The food was beyond excellent, my only complaint is that since I sat at the head table, our dishes were plated for us whereas it was family style for the rest of the guests. But that's ok, I ended up taking a few bags of leftovers home and it was goooooood. I got my fill of scallops and lobster and Chilean sea bass (you must get that! It was so yummy, perfect, tender, and good even when microwaved). I was also impressed by how beautiful it looked, with the water falling from the ceiling onto a flat pond. There was another wedding in another room, but we hardly noticed at all. The only bad thing was the parking, the spaces were so small and the layout was confusing. But otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed myself here.

I love Hawaiian barbecue and I didn't hesitate to order from L&L when I decided to throw a Hawaiian-themed bridal shower. I just ordered the BBQ combo Party Pack since we had 12 people coming. It proved to MORE than plenty. They gave me more meat than was advertised, so that was really cool. But since it was all girls, we didn't eat much. I still have leftovers in the fridge! They also called the morning of to confirm my order, which was nice. So if you want to go a cheaper route and just get catering through L&L, I'd recommend it.

I purchased guestbook pages and an album for my friend's bridal shower. Everything came nicely packaged and on time. The pages looked great (and I bought acid free pens from Target - thank goodness for back-to-school sales), the album was very nice and fit well with the Hawaiian theme, and we had fun going around the room sharing what we wrote.

I thought it was also very nice that they included a hand written thank you card! I taped it onto the back of the album for my friend.

I bought my shoes for Margaret's wedding here and I was so happy with the free overnight delivery service. It's perfect and convenient, and if you need to return them, it's free!

Oh I love this place! And I looked on their website and while they're mainly around Canada/East coast region, this is the only CA location. It's so worth it to go - the food is excellent!
