We had a college formal dance here and I remember the grounds being very lovely. The reception room was nice, and it's very close to Balboa Island and Newport Beach. It's also a few minutes away from the beach.

My roommate had her ceremony and receptions here. The ceremony was very nice, they had a gazebo set up with all these purple flowers (her favorite color). The hotel worked well with their traditional Jewish ceremony and allowing the rabbi to bless the food and kitchen. The food was fairly good, and the reception room was beautiful.

My roommate had her reception here and it was such a blast!! Well, maybe because she wanted a big ol' dance party, and that's just what happened. It was very fun though, the banquet room was large and roomy, the food was actually pretty good, and the rest of the hotel was very nice.

Very lovely hotel, it feels like a mini-city. It almost makes you forget you're right in the heart of downtown LA until you step out to see the beautiful views of the tall skyscrapers and the LA basin. On the top floor, they've got a revolving cocktail lounge that give you a 360 degree view of the city. But the lobby level is incredible, too. They've got a spa/salon, food court, countless restaurants, yummy cookies in the late afternoon, gorgeous hotel rooms, and everything else you'll need for your special day.

It's not traditional to hold a reception in a museum, but the impressive windows in the Central Hall create a very expansive space for a beautiful reception. There's a kitchen for whatever caterers you use, and the contact person is incredibly sweet. They also have a big screen set up if you want to display pictures, guests can view the exhibits if they want, and it's fairly reasonable priced for a venue in downtown LA. Downside is parking, guests only have public parking lots available.

Very yummy food! I'll admit that I haven't been there for a wedding ceremony/reception site, but I would imagine if you could rent out the room, it'd be really nice. The downside is that valet parking is the only parking available, but their prime rib is by far the best!

I love Maui and would highly recommend this island for people who feel that Kauai is too remote and Oahu is too crowded. It's a good inbetween and there's so many activities to do on this island! I wrote out a list for my friends who spent their honeymoon here and they enjoyed their time. There's Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina, the Old Lahaina Luau, Makena Beach, the road to Hana, snorkel around Molokini, go parasailing at Ka'anapali Beach, eco-trips...I could go on forever. Everything's a delight!
