I LOVE the Crossings. I can't say enough good things about this venue!! Amazing view, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing event coordinator! It is perfect, and I think everybody should get married here!! We were so so lucky to book this place.
We live in orange county, and wanted to go to a place that was a bit of a getaway for us and our guests, but still close enough to go down to anytime we needed to. The minute we saw the Crossings, we fell in love. We booked the next day!
Meredith, the coordinator, makes this place the best wedding venue in California. She answered my emails and zillion questions instantly, helped us make countless decisions, put us in the right direction, made sure we had everything we needed to have, and set up and executed our wedding flawlessly! I'm sure I was annoying, but she didn't show it! My husband-to-be was more of the "I'm just going to show up" kind of groom. But even he noticed how amazingly helpful Meredith was to us!
The wedding was executed PERFECTLY! I don't have one single complaint. Meredith, the Staff at the Crossings, and our DOC coordinator setup the venue and it looked amazing. I had 6 million details, diy projects, and even computer drawn setup plans. They handled it all!!
The Crossings is about as "affordable" as wedding venues go. There bar prices are unbeatable, and its about $100 less per person than the Sheraton across the street.
I really can't say enough about how much I love the Crossings!
FYI: Many of our guests, 100+ stayed across the street at the Sheraton. It's walking distance, and that made for a great party!

We absolutely loved the flowers Bella Blooms created for our wedding!! The only way I can describe it was, absolutely perfect! Melanie is darling, and their shop in Anaheim is equally adorable. I seriously just want to hang out there and work for free.
I tried to look for flower ideas on the internet before I started meeting with florists. I found a lot of pictures I liked, but didn't love. I took the pictures to Melanie. She was the only florist I met with that I felt was on the same page and totally understood what I was looking for. Melanie was super creative and helpful, and worked with everything I wanted to do.
Of course, I loved fluffy, expensive flowers :( Bella Blooms used some of the more expensive flowers and used some less expensive flowers, and stayed UNDER my budget. I felt like I got exactly what I wanted, and that I got a really good value!
I'm pretty sure I made way too many last minute changes and requests. But Melanie accommodated them all. She's awesome!
In the end the flowers were incredible. My bouquet was to die for, and the centerpieces were absolutely perfect.

We haven't received our wedding photos yet, and I'll update this when we do, but our engagement pictures, and the sneak preview for our wedding are unbelievable (which he posted just DAYS after our wedding; http://blog.waynetoshikazu.com/2009/06/10/lauren-matt-san-luis-rey-mission-and-carlsbad-ca-wedding/)!!
We met Wayne in August, 2008 after I saw his name on Amanda Auer's blog. It was only a month after we got engaged. We met over a glass of wine at the Balboa Bay Club. At the time we met, he was new to the business, and we actually found out that Wayne, Matt (my husband) and I had all gone to law school together. Wayne left law school after his first year, and it's obvious he made the right choice. Matt and I are so glad that he escaped the grips of the law, and found something that he truly loves (we secretly wish we had done the same).
When we met, he only had pictures from one wedding (as a second shooter) to show us as an example. You'd think that this would make Matt and I nervous, but believe it or not, hiring Wayne was the easiest and quickest decision we made. Matt didn't even want to meet with any other photographers. With blogs these days, it's so easy to compare photography styles. We poured over different photographers' websites, but we couldn't help but be drawn to Wayne's crisp, colorful, and emotional shots. We knew that he was an amazing wedding photographer in the making.
His photographs speak for themselves--breathtaking. You can see that he manages to capture the pure emotion of the moment. But what you can't see, without actually knowing us, is that he also captures exactly who we are as individuals and as a couple. His photos are purely just US.....only looking better than we ever thought we could look.
He also goes above and beyond to be helpful, accommodating, and kind. His quiet and relaxed personality allows you to forget the camera and just be yourself. He's meticulous, and loves technology -- two things that are must-haves in a wedding photographer. He ran our wedding like he was an old pro! And he brought a long a second-shooter, Araxi, that was fun, inviting, and very talented.
Snatching up this talent was the single best wedding vendor decision we made. Hire him! You won't regret it.
