Eclectic, and exciting atmosphere that is perfect for any type of party or celebration. Artsy, and unique. Food is served family style, so you don’t get so full that you feel like you just want to go to sleep. And the drinks are really good. I loved their sangria.

The epitome of an island get away. Beautiful resort with villa style rooms, as well as hotel rooms on the other side of the resort. They had an adventure center that booked your plans for the day for you, or you could take an open air shuttle from the resort to downtown charlotte amalie. The rooms were decorated in Caribbean style, and the views from every part of the resort were phenomenal. I would love to go back!

Phil was great. He gave us a form to fill out to tell him what music we wanted to have at our wedding, or didn’t want played. We had a special request for our first dance song, which was an acoustic song that wasn’t on any CD. He found it, and was able to play it. He was enthusiastic, and kept the crowd dancing, without being that annoying DJ that pulls unwilling guests out of the crowd to dance. Originally my mother in law was supposed to do the prayer, but she didn’t want to speak in front of a large crowd, so Phil, at the last minute put together a beautiful prayer before our first meal together as a married couple.

This place is great. I went with my husband for an appointment, and sat down with Mercedes. We discussed cake options, and she immediately sketched out a cake to suit our style. Afterwards, I went home and redrew the cake, after thinking a little more about what I wanted it to look like. She created the cake to look exactly like my drawing. I was definitely impressed. I had created a monogram "O" that we on our favor tags, wedding programs, etc, and she recreated it to the tee. It was incredible. They have so many cake and icing flavor options to mix and match. They make a special cake for the bride and groom to eat on their one year anniversary, so its not even included as part of the cake your guests see. Which means more cake for your guests! We ate the cake when we got back from our honeymoon. It was THAT good, we couldn’t wait a year.

I made an appointment to talk to the people at BBJ linen to find the perfect linens for our reception. They were patient with my inability to make a decision, and in the end, I was happy with my choices, without feeling pressured to get in and give them my money. I was able to make the right choice to coordinate with the décor of the day.

Russell is great at what he does. He had extremely affordable pricing, and a great attitude. He spent 8 hours with us on our wedding day and took over 700 pictures. He took pre wedding pictures of the girls, and then the guys. After the ceremony, we went around the golf course on a golf cart to take the bride and groom pictures. I do have to say that I don’t believe that there are many people who would lie on the ground of a stone bridge to get that perfect shot. Although I was somewhat disappointed that a wedding album wasn’t included in the price of the package, I was extremely happy with the pictures that came out.

Lee was great; I definitely could not say enough good things about him. He met with my mom and I and discussed what flowers I wanted to include or not include. He listened to what I had to say, unlike other florists I had talked to who included things I specifically said I did not want. Lee listened to our wants and needs, and when the wedding day came around, I was astonished by the beauty in the centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnière’s and ceremony flowers. I highly recommend him.

Dr Saunders was wonderful. We met with him a few months before the wedding to talk about how we wanted our ceremony to run. He gave us options to include or delete certain things in our ceremony to make it fit our personalities. Since we are both big red sox fans, he even wrote a special red sox prayer to include in our ceremony, which made our guests laugh, and added something completely unique that no one else would have in their wedding. Along with being witty, our ceremony also included the proper prayers and thanks to those who came to join us in our special day.

Ceremony: 5 Stars - This was my dream wedding site. Even more than I could have ever imagined. From the ceremony site overlooking the golf course, to the reception site in the club house on the other side of the resort. Joe Runnells, who was the wedding coordinator at the time, did an excellent job to make sure that everything was perfect on our special day. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for our ceremony.

Reception: 5 Stars - The club house was a perfect spot for our reception. It was secluded from the rest of the resort, yet close enough that we could still see the beauty of the buildings and golf course surrounding the club house. Our Wedding guests totaled about 115 people. There was plenty of room for people to spread out, and not feel crowded. If we had a lot more guests, we would have been able to use the larger room at the other end of the resort. I am completely happy with our choice to choose the Mission Inn.

Catering: 5 Stars - The food was awesome. We visited the resort a few months before to have lunch at the clubhouse. Since my dad is familiar is the resort, from business trips and golf outings, we knew that the food was up to par (no pun intended). We had many options to choose from as far as food goes. And we were able to design a meal to fit our budget.

Guest Accommodations: 5 Stars - The resort reserved rooms for our guests ahead of time at special wedding rates. The rooms were spacious and beautiful and they really catered to your every need. I highly recommend them.

Wedding Night: 5 Stars - Beautiful, spacious wedding suite, decorated with rose petals in the colors of our wedding, as well as a bottle of champagne, and chocolates

Two of my sisters and I got our hair done. It took about an hour each for my sisters and an hour and a half for me. She did a beautiful job on all of us. She gave us all a cohesive look, while still giving us something original and different. Definitely added another special touch to my overall look for the day
