Without getting into the painful details, I would not recommend Something Blue NY as a "day-of" coordinator. I have been unsuccessful at getting my deposit back, and unfortunately, service level agreements were absent from the contract. The contract had a cancellation policy that protected Something Blue NY but not the bride.

As you interview prospective vendors, make sure you layout your expectations. However, more importantly, ensure that service level agreements are incorporated into any contract you enter. "Unlimited phone and email access" is great but it's worthless when it takes weeks to get a response or acknowledgment (and also precipitates stress when the wedding is 4 weeks away).
