We had a wedding of 500 people and I was very hesitant to spend a lot of money on flowers-- they do, after all, go in the garbage the next day. However, Chris at Delux blew us away. He was so easy to work with and his floral designs created a magical scene for our wedding day.
As far as pricing goes, we shopped around and found that Delux was pretty competitive for a wedding that large. While we did find some places that gave us lower quotes, we would have compromised quality. I am SO glad that we found a way to work Delux into our budget. It really did make a huuuuuuge difference on the actual wedding day!
Moreover, I loved that I NEVER had to worry about my flowers or anything flower related. Chris took care of EVERYTHING-- I called him my "worry-free" vendor because once we booked him, the only responsibility I had was to pay him :) When we met with him, we had no idea what we wanted but we told him a little bit about what we didn't want. When we went in to see our sample centerpeices, he had created amazing peices just from our personalities and the little bit we told him about what we didn't like! He did everything he promised to do and then some (including making our flower girl baskets!). Overall, we were more than happy with Delux and our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful our flowers were!
Delux was worth EVERY penny and any bride that thinks flowers are a waste is poorly mistaken!!
I cannot say enough good things about Bill and his work! I cannot imagine ever finding a better photographer. He has the best combination of talent and personality at a reasonable price. Talent aside (because the work truly does speak for itself), the cherry on top is that he is such an amazing person with whom to work. He braved the elements of Michigan's four seasons so that we could get engagement pictures for every season (autumn, winter, spring, and summer) at our request. He took whatever time necessary to make sure that each shot was perfect and took pictures on all terrains and in all kinds of weather conditions, including the cold snowy winter and even in the rain just so that we could have amazing images. My fiance and I felt so comfortable working with Bill and never worried about how our pictures were going to turn out. We took incredible photos that other PW'ers called "inspiring" and it's all thanks to Bill's incredible talent and experience. He captured our engagement and our wedding day perfectly. Our photos were a true reflection of our relationship!
Additionally, he returned calls promptly and made himself always available. He took time to develop a relationship with us and worked with us to make our wedding dreams come true. He went more than just the extra mile and we're so glad to have found our new family photographer. We will definitely be using him for all of our important family milestones!
**NOTE ABOUT PRICING** Regarding the price we paid, please keep in mind that this included A LOT of things, including videography with 2 cameras (one on the ground and one on an overhead crain), engagement session photos, photography for the entire day of the wedding (at the groom's house and the bride's house, reveal photos, ceremony, reception, etc), and the photographer's time editing. We shopped around and for the quality of the work, the price was very competitive.
