Our experience at David's Bridal in Torrance, CA was excellent. Because the bride and groom live out of the country we had no time to shop. I am the mother of the groom. My son and his bride-to-be arrived in LA one week before the wedding. Prior to their arrival I checked out some bridal shops to save time and was impressed with the enormous number of gowns David's Bridal had in stock. We needed to chose the gown and have it altered within one week. I know this sounds unbelieveable but David's Bridal really came through. When the bride finally came into town we went to David's and she tried on many gowns. After she made her choice it needed to be altered. We were nervous about getting it right and in time. The saleswoman and fitter were both incredibly helpful and a delight. Fortunately, they both spoke Spanish and the bride could communicate more easily with Spanish then English. After the fitting the bride picked shoes and also some wonderful simulated flowers for her hair. She did not want a veil. This really saved us time shopping for accessories.
We returned for a second fitting in three days and although the dress still needed a little work they reassured us it would be perfect and it was. The wedding was December 20, 2008. The bride was gorgeous. I would highly recommend David's Bridal.

After our wedding we slipped away to this beautiful hotel on the water in Redondo Beach. We had a perfectly beautiful suite with only ocean views fully surrounding our room. The mood was perfect and the location was very conveniently located to our wedding at the La Venta Inn. This was to be our only honeymoon destination for now so it was important to be special. The Portofino exceeded our expectations and the price was quite reasonable for all we received. Very, very romantic.

Just wanted to say how pleased we were with On Tape Video Productions. My son's wedding was December 20, 2008 at La Venta Inn. Karl and Connie were on the list of vendor resources that Tim from La Venta Inn gave me. I interviewed other potential video companies but felt immediately comfortable with Karl and Connie. They were very flexible about what I wanted and helped because of their years of experience. I am thrilled with the video they produced and would highly recommend these talented people. At first I didn't think we needed video but boy am I glad I hired them. I wish I had listened to all their suggestions.

Meeting Lovorka, the owner of flowersbylaurel was a peak experience. With over 20 years of experience and her flair for perfection she immediately was my choice for the wedding designer for the flowers. It was my son's wedding and I was in complete charge of all the details and choices of vendors because he and his lovely bride-to-be live in Panama. The wedding was being held at La Venta Inn, a magnificent location and Tim from La Venta had a list of vendor resources for me to explore. My appointment with Lovorka was a delight. It was so easy to find the flowers we wanted because of the system of reviewing photos on her personal online software. We discussed colors and type of flowers and what we would need for the bride, groom, wedding party, tables, decorating the gazebo where they would be married and more. When my son and his fiance arrived in L.A. right before the wedding and we had a meeting at flowersbylaurel to review the flowers and designs. The bride had some of her own ideas and we integrated them into the final choices. What a fabulous experience working with a person like Lovorka that is so peaceful, calming and creative and experienced. The wedding was December 20, 2008 and the flowers exceeded our expectations. They were gorgeous and perfectly placed. The flower girl was four years old and the charm of her head piece and small floral basket was unforgetable. Everything was so beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone for any affair that if you want a carefree, extraordinary event use Lovorka at flowersbylaurel in Redondo Beach.

It is my greatest pleasure to tell you that the wedding at La Venta Inn was not only spectacular and carefree, it was even beyond expectations. The venue is a perfect picture of serenity and beauty allowing for many spiritual touches here and there that create an ambiance that is truly magical. The sunset will be remembered by many for quite some years. The ceremony was like a dream come true in an environment of perfect peace and love. The party was smooth, the food delicious, the room looked
wonderful.

Tim Kennedy, I cannot thank YOU enough for your support and diligence during the whole process. Everything was lovely and perfectly managed. Whenever I needed you, you were always right there, prior to the date and on the day of wedding. You have many special qualities that made the process so much easier. I feel blessed to have met you and worked with you.
