About 8 months ago, I was sure I didn't need a wedding planner because "I could do everything myself"... right. I can't tell you how wrong I was. After receiving our save-the-date, Vanessa contacted me immediately offering to help, and since we go way back AND she is a dear dear friend of mine, we decided to meet even though I still wasn't entirely convinced I needed any help. During our meeting, Vanessa brought up questions, suggestions, and decoration ideas that I would have NEVER thought of, not only that but she was genuinely excited about them! I realized how much help I was in desperate need of, and how happy she was to help.

Throughout the next few months, Vanessa continued to put forth the same amount of energy towards my wedding as I witnessed her do for her own. She devoted so much of herself that I became concerned as a friend that I was her only client. I was so impressed to learn how many other clients she actually had and yet made me feel like her only one. Whenever I told her I needed to buy something she would say, "oh, I'll make it" and she would exceed my expectations. Whenever I said I needed to go do something she would say, "let me handle it" and I completely trusted her with everything.

The days leading up to/day of the wedding, I may have been the calmest bride you've ever seen, and the reason for this was Vanessa. She did EVERYTHING for me and left me with nothing to worry about. I had planned to go to the venue to help set-up the tables and help out, but Vanessa wouldn't have it. I had no hesitation in letting Vanessa do everything because she is brilliant and I trust her with my life.

Since the wedding, I have received an unbelievable amount of compliments from guests and strangers who have seen our wedding pictures on blogs, saying how unique and gorgeous everything looked. I am completely flattered, but Vanessa deserves most of the compliments for portraying our dream wedding. So, if you think you can do it all by yourself, think again... and get Vanessa ASAP!

The only warning I have about Vanessa is she's easy to fall in love with, so try not to get too attached :)
