This restaurant started as a little pizzeria that evolved into a pretty nice restaurant. We knew that we wanted a relaxed rehearsal dinner and this was the perfect place. We just ordered a lot of different pizzas and pastas and encouraged guests to mingle among the tables. During the warmer months there is a lovely outdoor patio but it was too cold for it during October. One downfall, there was not a private room- we just had a portion of the restaurant sectioned off which was fine for our needs.
This is a husband/wife team and it was nice having two photographers. They are fairly expensive and charge quite a bit for the high res images. It also took about 7 months for our wedding album to come in which seemed a little too long. Overall, they do great work, but you definitely pay for it.

My husband and I decided we didn’t want to go the traditional tux route. Joseph A Bank had a nice suit selection at a variety of prices. Bonus: he’s worn his “wedding suit” many times since the big day.

I had a hard time finding a makeup artist that would only do my makeup (bridesmaid and mom didn’t want theirs done). Lisa did a trial run at her home and came to the hotel on the day of. Lisa was on time and recreated the trial look perfectly.

We both loved this hotel. The grounds are lush and beautiful and the rooms were simple and clean. No complaints at all. I highly recommend the daily breakfast buffet- very much worth the cost. If a low-key beach vacation is for you, Kauai is the place to be. One recommendation: rent a car. The island is very easy to navigate and there is little public transportation to rely on. Having our own car allowed us to explore and find vacant beaches where we would often spend our time.

We got a great rate for our guests, but really didn’t get much of a discount for ourselves. The hotel has recently gone through some renovations, and is very nice. Their breakfast buffet was great but we didn’t have a chance to eat at any other restaurants in the hotel. The one problem we had was the sporadic giving of the wedding gift bags. I assumed a hotel would be accustomed to this new tradition, but some guests never received theirs.
Tina works from her home and does not advertise. She has made quite a business just from word of mouth from previous clients. I met with Tina at her home and she had plenty of books of her work to show me. I had very specific ideas in mind and she delivered perfectly. We had two ceremonies- one Indian and one Catholic and she took care of everything for both, including the Indian Mandap (which she had never done before but pulled off perfectly). Best of all, her prices can’t be beat! This is probably my vendor that offered the best value. I highly recommend her!

This church is expensive ($800) and very hard to book but well worth it. The church has a reputation of being very hard to book but found it very easy once I told them I was open to having a Friday evening wedding. Another bonus, the church is so ornate, few flowers are needed!

When you book WOW you don’t have a choice with your caterer. The food was very good at our tasting but was not as good at the wedding reception (which we expected).

We did not have a traditional wedding cake but instead had gelato. The Gelateria (downtown) had a really neat cart that looked great and held 5 flavors. This gelato is by far the best in the area and the service was great! This was a big hit of the wedding and everyone- kids and grownups alike- loved it!
