Brides BEWARE of Xaviera Pepe- owner of Petals by Xavi.

I wish I had done my research before hiring her for my florals for my wedding. I met her at a bridal show where she had a spectacular display that had won me over. Little did I know, she would partially ruin my big day. There is a reason why her company has a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) There have been several complaints against her company.

Here is a list of a few reasons why I would not do business with them again:

1. She was not upfront and honest with the total cost of her services (She seemed to operate on a don't ask don't tell policy)

2. She seemed to become annoyed by my requests when we discussed the details. The details were very important to me and I feel that she did not take what I said seriously. She was very unprofessional.

3. She forgot about a meeting we had scheduled at the venue. She said she would "throw in extra flowers" as an apology (She did not follow through with that either.

4. She called me on my wedding day as I was getting ready and asked me, and I quote 'What were the colors of your wedding again?"

5. She forgot a very important piece that was to by incorporated into our wedding.. a rose that was to be placed on the chair where my husbands late mother would have sat.

6. She forgot my mom's coursage

7. She forgot my flower girls flowers

8. She forgot my tossing bouquet. I had to give up my arrangement because of this.

p.s. everything was paid in full weeks before the wedding.

When I called Petals by Xavi several times to get answers I was always told that Xaviera was in a meeting. She never returned my calls.


Per a previous employee of Petals by Xavi, Xaviera Pepe allegedly brokers her services. She allegedly has another company arrange and contruct the florals and she turns around and charges her client more than what she paid for them. Although the arrrangements did turn out beautiful, Petals by Xavi should not be the ones given credit for them. This is the worst vendor I have ever had to deal with.
