The staff is very rushed and slightly impatient. We felt as though we were inconveniencing them when we were having our cake testing. It's a small crowded store with little room to move because of all the display cakes they have out. If you can get by that the cakes are fantastic. We had a three-tier heart shaped cake that they were more than willing to customize to my taste. They added pillars and butterflies with no extra cost. Everyone's first reaction when they walked into the room was WOW, what a gorgeous cake. The cake was very moist; we went with butter cream only icing, which was delicious.

The food is amazing. The atmosphere beautiful. Thats where it ended for us. We were told 2 days prior to the wedding that we could no longer go in on the Friday night to decorate because they had booked the room for the evening for an event. A fact that they knew a month prior, and neglected to tell me. The hostess had no clue how to do a receiving line. She was so confused and out of her league that she asked one of the bridesmaids if she was the bride when I was stood in a white poofy dress not 5 feet from her. She told us to all go on the dance floor to do the receiving line, when the bombardiers were placed on a table ready to give out in the foyer. She didn't know what to do when I asked her how we were going to give the bombardiers to our guest as they passed through the receiving line. I had to suggest that we do the receiving line in the foyer to which she responded well okay if you want. We had a specific theme. The favors were supposed placed on each plate to add to the theme and for the guests to take home or eat after dinner. They didn't put them on the plates, which took away from initial wow of the entrance. That wouldn't have been such a big problem except that they told us that we never brought them the favors. When we told them they were chocolate in different colored butterfly boxes, they finally found them in the fridge, where the owner himself had put them when we gave them to him. The non-alcoholic champagne was alcoholic. By the time the last table got served (we only had 8 tables) the first table had finished eating and was waiting for dessert. They broke my cake topper heirloom. When questioned about it they told us that we should have moved it ourselves, which we would have done had they told us that they were moving the cake. They cut the cake up in huge chunks and put it back in the box and put it out on the table in the lobby with no plates, just serviettes. They didn't tell anyone that they had put it there. We found it when we were leaving. Needless to say we had a full wedding cake to bring home, and lots of guests complaining they didn't get any, because no-one knew it was there. When we phoned them when we got back from our honeymoon to ask for our gratuity back, because we felt as though they didn't deserve one, we were told that it was the hostess' first wedding and she “got scared and panicked” and it there was nothing they were willing to do. We tried to set up meetings to discuss the problems and were constantly told that they were either busy or on holiday, we never had a problem meeting with them before the wedding.
The contact person at Wellington Music is easy to get along with, professional and knows her job. She asked relevant questions and helped us choose the musicians needed accordingly. She didn't just rely on us to say what we wanted. Good job because we would have chosen the wrong instruments. She had pointed out that what we had chosen would fade away in the wind because our ceremony was outdoors. We needed something stronger. The musicians played beautifully before, during and after the ceremony. The only two let downs we had are, first in our pictures the musicians appear to have bare feet. I am assuming they were wearing sandals with no socks and in my opinion a professional should be wearing shoes and socks. The other let down was the fact that they forgot(didn't realize) I had made it down the aisle, and continued to play an extra stanza of Here Comes the Bride, while everybody stood there wondering what to do. I think one of the guests finally gestured to them to stop.

What can I say, save yourself the trouble of looking around and just go to them. The cars were extremely clean. They have both vintage cars and limousines. The driver was the best, and was very polite. He had a cooler of snacks and drinks in case we got hungry or thirsty while having our pictures taken. He even brought an umbrella out for us when it started drizzling. The owner is amazing. He made us feel at home during the appointments. They were amazing to deal with. The prices were great for all day service and the late night pick up was extremely reasonable. They provided red carpet service at the ceremony, picture site, and reception.
All of my DJ, Photographer, and Videographer came under the umbrella company Leave It To Us Weddings. The photographer herself was reasonable but didn't have a very good imagination. We didn't realize until we got the pictures, as you don't on your wedding day because you are too busy with the day, but basically all she did was pick a tree/background and kept changing the people. Our ceremony was at a beautiful garden with lots of photo-ops that she just didn't use. She used a fountain but there were so many people in front of it that all you can see is the people. The photo's themselves were good quality. There were enough pictures to choose our albums from, I just wished now that she had used some of the beautiful flowers and such at the sites.
Now for the umbrella company. The owners are unprofessional and totally disorganized. There professional albums that come with the package at the time were binders that we could have bought from Walmart. They really don't deal well with criticism, they get very defensive, and refuse to listen.
The Videographer, in my opinion was just out of school. He accidentally cut out the sound during our vows. Some of the footage was very shaky. There was however, again enough good footage to choose from and he did record some beautiful and funny moments that turned out fantastic. The sound was able to be fixed by a different company by me recording it and then putting it over the video.
Leave it to us weddings made our finished copy, we weren't allowed to see it. They just sent it to us and said there you go, which took 8 months to arrive. You couldn't hear my vows, the part where my mom is escorted down the aisle by my brother was exactly 2 seconds long, and the best man's speech was completely cut in half. But the worse was our First dance. It was not to the music we actually danced to. They had put their own music to it. Their reasoning was that the music was garbled, which it wasn't, but even if it was why would they not just put our song over our dance. It wasn't an obscure song. None of this would have been a problem if they had fixed it and not had the attitude of oh well that's what you paid for. We had to threaten to take them to the Better Business Bureau. In the end we ended up getting the raw footage, which we had to pay another company to make into a video. They were the ones that said it could be fixed with voice over, fixed our first dance, and fixed the best man's speech, all of which we were told could not be fixed by Leave It To us weddings.
The DJ actually went above and beyond his duties by helping out when he realized the venue had messed up. He helped to give out the favors, helped us organize our receiving line (our hostess didn't know how to do it), and kept the dance floor full. He played all of our requests, including the ones from the guests. He kept the crowd entertained. The one thing we really liked was the fact that all he had was his equipment. There were no huge advertising banners, like I've seen at some weddings. He was wearing black pants and the company logo on his shirt.
We also hired this DJ from Leave it to us weddings, but we had no after the fact difficulties that had to be dealt with.

The flowers were beautiful, fresh and lasted the whole day in 30 degree heat. She did exactly what we asked her to do. She meets in her house and makes you feel really comfortable. She even sent my hubby to watch TV while I picked my bouquet. The flowers were delivered right on time. She made good suggestions for flowers in the colors that I wanted, and has a great selection. The thing that sets her apart is her take charge attitude in what a bride would consider a crisis. Two days before the wedding we met with her to finalize payments and details. She asked me why I was so upset, I didn't even realize it was showing. I told her that my venue had just informed me that I couldn't get in the night before the wedding to decorate because they had booked it to someone for the evening. I didn't have a decorator, (didn't think I would need one because I was going to go on the Friday night to decorate) my hair appointment was at 8am, make up at 9:30, photographer to arrive at 10. Everyone that could help me by going to the venue to decorate was in my wedding party. I had resigned myself to the fact that I was not having decorations. She just looked at me and said, bring me your stuff tell me what you want, and I will go and do it for you. I couldn't have asked for a more beautifully decorated venue. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Tony is amazing. He can work miracles, even with teenagers who just want to wear jeans. They have a great selection with lots of colors and styles for ties, vests and tuxes. The tuxes fitted as though they were hand tailored for the guys. Tony knows what he is talking about. We had decided to have the groom in a white shirt with a black tie and the groomsmen in black shirts with colored ties. I phoned Tony (who wasn't there at the booking) after I had looked at the pictures we had taken at the booking and said that it just didn't look right. He said that no the groom would look like he belongs to another wedding, he needs to be wearing a black shirt with a white tie. We changed it and they all looked great. They were amazing with the fittings and very accommodating with trying to schedule all the guys that were available at all different times.

They did the alterations for all my bridesmaids and my wedding dress. I found the prices to be very reasonable. I got my dress alterations for half of what the bridal store was going to charge. The alterations were done perfectly and completed within a week. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. The alterations for the bridesmaids dresses were also reasonably priced. The girls dresses were awkward at the front because they opened to a V with a different colored fabric inside and a rounded edge towards the bottom. The dresses were done perfectly without extra charge for the difficulty.

The ladies there really know their job. My sales lady spent a long time helping me try on dresses with veils and tiaras. She was very honest about how they looked on me. They have a wonderful variety, with lots of different styles of dresses, tiara's and veils to choose from. The sales lady convinced me to try on a dress I would never have dreamed of buying. That was the dress I bought. The ladies are wonderful, the owners not so much, they can be very rude. Their very helpful attitude changed drastically when I told them that I was taking my dress to be altered somewhere else. I found their prices for alterations to be really high and got my dress altered elsewhere for a fraction of the price.
