I took my maid of honor to try on dresses and the staff was very friendly and knew the location of every dress on my list. We narrowed it down to one dress and all my bridemaids were able to go to their nearest store and get fitted. The dresses turned out great!

Now my sister-in-law is using DB for her bridesmaids dresses (and I'm a bridesmaid!) and so far it had been another good experience.

MW had a booth at the Bridal Show my [now] husband and I went to where you could go inside a cash grabbing machine and whatever you caught you could put towards tuxes. My husband ended up grabbing enough cash to pay for his tux as well as my father's and his father's! We had excellent service when we went to the store to pick out the right tux. Its been a few years ago now, but I think there might have a been a problem with a couple of the groomsmen getting all the gear they needed from MW, but it was definitely all worked out in plenty of time. (No one would tell me much on the day of the wedding so as not to get my blood pressure up!). The groom, groomsmen, ushers, ring bearer, and my dad looked great in their tuxes! The only real hassle I remember is the turnaround time to get the tuxes back to the store. I wish it wasn't such a rush.

We took a 5-day cruise to Key West, Cozymel, and Belize. It was a terrific experience, and I can't wait to do it again! The list of excursions seemed endless. We ended up opting only to do an excursion at Belize to see the Maya ruins to save money. We managed to get around Key West and Cozymel on our own (did shopping and visited the beach at both locations) without any problems. I just have to say that the taxi drivers in Mexico are a bit loco (super friendly and helpful to tourists, but drive like maniacs!!).

My husband bought my engagement ring online, and we had a hard time finding a wedding band that would work with it. The prongs on the diamond stick out so that a typical ring would not fit flush with it. American Jewelry custom made a ring for me to our specifications and it turned out amazing! The people there were super easy to work with and so friendly. We've gone back there for free ring cleaning, and my 5th anniversary wedding gift is from American Jewelry, too!

As a bridemaid, getting a dress from this store was a nightmare. The bride picked out a two piece dress that the store offered. We (the bridesmaids) went to get fitted, had our measurements taken, tried on a sample top to get an idea of the right size, etc. When I tried on the dress that arrived for me it was waaaaaaaaaay too small! There was no time to get a new one so they were going to have to alter the one I had. At my expense!! Terrible experience, and I won't be doing business with them anymore.

I went in wanting to try on various styles to see what would look good on me. Of course the styles I liked best didn't look right on me, but the woman from David's Bridal who was helping me with dresses grabbed a few off the rack that were similar in style to the original ones I liked but had a different fit and in the matter of an hour or so I had found just the style for me! The David's Bridal employee was enthusiastic, new exactly where every dress in the store was, and super patient. Even though she knew I would most likely walk out empty-handed since I was just trying to find a good style dress for myself.

If you want to do your own flowers, check out the silk flowers at AC Moore. I was able to to get 5-8 rose blossoms (in varying stages of growth i.e. buds and full bloom) per bush for a great price when they went on sale. The roses I got were in light pink, pale yellow, and white. They really looked real, right down to the dew drops on the petals (and they looked like real dew, not hot glue). I used them for my bouquet and for other decorations in the reception hall. I did all my own flowers (read: made everything including the bouquets and corsages), but even if you are going to use silk flowers and have someone else put together your flowers, you can't beat the prices at AC Moore!

We actually had the Ranch Fri-Sun. So we had the rehearsal dinner there on Friday. the wedding and reception on Saturday, and had Sunday for family to go back and clean up. That was several years ago and they were just starting to get popular so I think now you need to be sure to book them plenty in advance and the price for the weekend may have gone up. BUT the place is YOURS for the entire weekend! We brought in our own caterers, but they have their own to offer. The hall is huge and there is great opportunity to have a ton of people by putting up tents outside. They'll bring some horses to stable during the reception which is great for kids. They also offer arrival by horse and carriage. Too cute! The owners are easy to get along with and basically give you run of the place. Loved this place and would totally recommend them to another bride.
